Had this game for little over a week...and I already completed everything :D Awesome game, love the CAS. Very good game..probably should have waited a few months for the price to drop but eh.
I like the game alot. I've been playing it solidly for like...6 days. Its addictive, and once you start you have to unlock EVERYTHING!!!!! Anyway, who're your favorite characters?
ive had it for about a week now also, havent goten everything but i will soon enough

It's already out? Since how long? Man, I'm a fool and 3 quarters of another...
I like taki and nightmare, and CAS kunai and katana. Ive already bought everything at the shops, I only need to unlock the ancient weapons which really has no other purpose other than to say I unlocked everything and wasted my life!!!
Man I thought this wasn't coming out for another few months (though I learnt about it's release maybe a week ago, but i'm just saying). So how is it? Better than the last one and in each platform version is there a different character for each console like SCII? I might get it, not sure if i'll buy it now though, maybe I can try to get it copied or i'll just have to buy it.
Its a PS2 exclusive, so no other platforms at the current date. And its better than Soul Calibur 2 in alot of ways. But my favorite way is the custom character feature. Thats just insanely cool. Although the body type is limited. So don't think you'll make a hulking guy like Asteroth...Its just not going to happen. Combo's are now cooler looking and the fluid movement is upgraded also. And just getting to see Night Terror is awesome!! :)
i have been trying to master cervantes......i tried Ivy but i suck with her weapon when it turns back into the sword, and when i turn it back into the whip i get schooled because i leave an opening when i do it.
Ive had this game for a few days and have unlocked quite a bit. I use my created character allot. Its a barbarian, Great sword discipline, and looks just like cloud.
Suprised you didn't take a look at the faq and make Sephiroth. There's a way to do it, because I've already seen someones done like that. :) I use my Swordmaster alot, but I also tend to use Kilik when facing people that I can't beat otherwise. If you push <- + Square + Circle with Cervantes, he'll shoot his gun. If you push the other way he shoots it differently. Thats a tip for ya jeff.
dude kiliks soul calibur is lame, as in too cool. It ups strength, defense, and you gain life constantly,....no downs at all upsss and thier all good ups...but my favorite characters weapons always drain health or something else lame
Yeah, I don't like that, so when I play with people we usually play with weapon effects off. Because some are too overpowering. But, there are some others that are like that though, that are just retardly too overpowering. Also...how do you shoot Abyss's (Lame character) black ball thingy?
i dunny i hate abyss and zasalamel.....or whatever, dunno why....its like the mailman, i just hate them....
Triangle + Circle. And I was gonna make a seph one, just havent gotten to it yet.
Zasalamel is alright. I just think his moves are just weird. WAY TO WEIRD!!!...but he does have some kick arse combos. Like smacking people into the air and then smiting them with your scythe and pulling them back to the ground extremely hard.
i just dont like his move set at all, i dont like Rock's move set either its all like butt- bombs and stupid easily blocked things.......and i hate fighting siegfried but he is okay to use... he always uses low attacks and trips me a lot...
Siegfried is one of my fav characters. Hes just so cool
Yeah, I like his combo where he does two horizontal slashes and then a low slash. I really like Kiliks double hit combos where he attacks high and then low. And Maxi is crazy!!! :)
Maxi is nutz, but if you even mess up once on his combos it will through you off and leave you wide open to attack.
any know how to get cervantes's joke weapon.....i dont need it but i would like to use it for fun.
Just play a bunch of matches, eventually you start unlocking joke weapons really fast. And his is like the second or the third that I unlocked! :)
i will now go train those guard breaks alot..... if i could master it i would own you garaa15
Those are rather challenging, tutorial mode helps with that, you have to do it like 5 times in a row.

I love soul calibur, but its not out here right now. (UK) Though I think its this week or within the next few when it's out, which is reaalllyyy good. I love Soul Calibur, I was undefeated on the 2nd one!

Soul calibur 2 is cake lol but 3 is a hell lot more challenging (due to the fact the AI can pre-block....)
go unlock/buy Knight class, you will LOVE the lance, its a shit load longer then killiks and seung mina's polearms. the Lance is the best ring out weapon in the game.
so far i unlock everyone including Amy, i didnt fight night terror yet though... ooh and anyone of you fought the giant statue? that one is my fav lol!

Amy is cool, she uses the rapier's from the custom characters, and no we're not playing as we post...we just played a hell of alot of it already. Anyway, I need to get a new game soon...
stupid computer AI, its all smart and evil.....it plots against me.....
The AI is just overwelming at times, especially durring the stop missions. They tend to block like HELL!!! :)
Abyss on very hard mode is a bitch :( that sucker is the worst lol.... only way to beat him is far range, thats where siegfried/nightmare comes in handy lol you can juggle abyss with nightmare though lol
I hate fighting Miser so damn much. You fight him at the end, so when you lose(I always lose) you lose all you money. So from now on I dont stop in Japan. Also that Colossus guy, I FINALLY beet him and the bastard falls over on me and says "YOU LOSE" whats up with that. man that made me so mad.
miser is funny, and i unlocked miser as a special character......hahaha you got robbed.....
Colossus is fairly easy to beat with long range weapons (lances, Zweihanders etc)
just strafe around him and keep facing his back, most of his attacks are unblockable though..
miser is a she . well she sound like it lol
O, my bad, I just though Miser was a dude. Maybe I should pay closer attention.
Colossus is pretty easy, just strafe around constantly. Although Miser is gay...But its okay, I haven't fought them but like twice in actual story. I generally make a decision based on trying to get to Night Terror, in which I usually fight Charade.
which character do you choose to fight night terror ?? :(
i tried beating collusus with talim yesterday.....didnt turn out well....
You can fight him with any character, the problem in that is that you need to find the correct choices in the story mode. :)
yeah and not lose any matches. So far, a feat i have yet to accomplish
damn... not losing any matches..... its a bitch enough on Very hard mode against fast players like xianghua,talim etc.... but not losing a match?? oh well i go play on easy mode lol :O

after going through the pages to make sure I hadn't already posted I shall now post XD
i didn't even know this game was out yet until like a couple days ago. If it wasn't for the fact that my ps2 is broken, i would go get it.
Key thing to kill all opponents as long as there the computer...spam the same move over and over. Try it yourself, play as xianghua and only press square over and over for every match...perfects or near perfect victories...I got a perfect against night terror for crying out loud.
for siegfried, i always do the square,square,triangle,wait for enemy to get up and press either Triangle or Square lol.....
With Siegfried i knockem down, then press Down Triangle Triangle, to stab them and flip them

I don't often use repetative moves. I like to play and make things look cool...I often find myself trying to pull of one move and losing the round. I really like the slower attacks. :)

I remember my mate doing that, very annoying to play against. Still, it was amusing.
Me and Mirae finally picked up this game just 2 days ago or so, and DAMN we were addicted lol xD The game is very addictive, we have yet to get all the artwork and all that, but damn this game is so addictive xD We played it all day and still aint sick of it :P xD Siegfried and Tira pwn face! =P

The Tsu-man is forgiven. :P And yes...oh em gee, this game is amazing. I saw it in the shops a few times and couldn't be a$$ed to buy it...thought it'd be like a duplicate of the second game, with new areas and one or 2 new characters. Wrong @.@! Amazing game, so addicting. Nice and colourful areas, beautiful music (especially the music that plays in the Art gallery), nice character designs just like in the previous game, and to top it off you can create your own character, and what customisation! It rocks that you can get 2 slightly different endings if you press certain buttons during a cutscene on time. Can't find any faults in this game yet. There seems to be so much to do. I'm addicted. heres a "cheat" , make 2 character of the same class, set to 1 round fight @ VS mode, put one of the characters hadicap to 0, Fight 50 times, you will unlock all the "abilities" and other classes will be unlock,

Knight's Lance class is by far the BEST ring out weapon, and its charge can also be used to get range advantage .
lol awesome cheat ^_^ I have this game to, i think it kicks ass, my own character is a ninja though im gonna make a barbarian to, check out gamefaqs for loads of custom characters to make like Tifa and Cloud ^_^

This games AWSOMe! Much better than Tekken 5 I thought. I always used Cassandra, that is, until I unlocked Sophitia. I use her all the Time lol. Another one of my favourite characters is Kilik. He has some good moves. I've never completed that mini game that's included in the game though...
