Which Media Player(s) do you use?

I use:

Windows Media Player 10 (for general movie and audio files)
Winamp 5 (for special audio files [SPC, PSF, OGG])
Media Player Classic (for special movie files)
BSPlayer (mostly for taking screenshots)

I use RealPlayer. My sister's way too stubborn and keeps on using Windows Media Player, even though he messed up the equalizer and now it sounds like crap.

I only need to use Windows Media Player for music and video files.

Used to use Winamp but got rid of that ages ago, didn't need it anymore.

Can someone tell me what they think is the best media player out? I'm looking for a permanent one. WMP sounds like crap, and RealPlayer is too...like...it doesn't play as many different types of things.

Winamp is quite good I think, it's even better if you can get pro (you can etheir buy it or if you know where to look you can get a key gen for it). If you use the "what i'm listenting to" feature on msn it won't work with winamp, unless of course you download one of the plugins for it. ^^

I actually use Winamp for Music and usually Videos too. Reason being you can mess with the sound on Winamp and I like to blast my music. :D

I use Windows Media Player usually just when I'm on MSN, so I don't accidently knock Winamp off whilst I'm in convos, because I have a tendency to click Winamp from the bottom and cross it off in the middle of convos lol.

I use WMP for ripping music files, and Winamp for everything else. Winamp for the win :D

WMP most of the time, usually because I can minimize it out of the way so I don't accidently close it while doing other thing. Managed to **** up my Winamp .__. gonna have to redownload it some time >_<

Windows Media Player to listen to music
Video Lan to play anything that bneeds a codec, because it has codecs built in, other video files play in Windows Media Player
I have Winamp but I only use it for ripping MP3s out of CDs

I have RealPlayer and Quicktime but those are just so webpages with media work properly.

Technically I have them as well, for the same reason, never use them apart from webpages.

I did use realplayer for music a LONG timea go, only for like ... 10 minutes then I noticed it sucked.

Yeah, Real Player and Quicktime sucks. Why have both players installed while with codecs and Media Player Classic you can watch those files too. :P

I use Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic or whatever it's called as primary sources. When those fail, I'll use this other weird program, called VLT Player or something like that... lol

Let's revive this topic, shall we?

Yesterday Microsoft released a beta of Windows Media Player 11. I've downloaded it and tested it short. I've decided to switch back to 10, since the program was running kinda slow and I didn't like the new library.

Yuck. WMP. :(

I use W-w-winamp! It really kicks the llama's ass!

I can usually get anything to play in it, but for the odd h264 file which runs slowly in it I use VLC player.

I have WMP10 for all my porn and general downloaded videos.
If the volume on that is too low I run it in VLC.
If its a .rm file or some other dodgy format I run it in Media Player Classic.

I just downloaded the new version of Winamp (5.5) and I really like the new skin. I decided to play my music in Winamp now instead of Windows Media Player. It has more features and doesn't hang sometimes.

I can't believe I didn't reply to this thread before o.o;

I use Winamp for all of my music, and WMP for movies I cannot watch in Winamp. If I cannot view movies in WMP, I use VLC then :P

I used to use WinAMP back in the days. XD

Now I only use Windows Media Player 11 for audio, with a Real Media Player codec that allows my WMP to play files it normally cant.

For videos, I mostly used Media Player Classic, but sometimes use VLC Media Player.

Just Windows Media Player. I've got a few other types of Media Player, but I only use WMP, since most everything I have, media-wise works just fine on it.

For films, I've got my PS3, so I don't really use my PC for watching things.
