Shadow Hearts Games

I'm sure there're a couple of people who've played these games, right? What do you think about them?

It's such a shame they were overlooked so badly :( The original Shadow Hearts was released as PS2 was I think, and on a budget too, the graphics weren't anything spectacular, but the storyline and gameplay were really great. The release time wasn't very well planned I can't imagine, it was completely overshadowed by FFX.
The second game, Shadow Hearts: Covenant has to be one of my favourite all time games ever, the graphics are great and the gameplay is similar to the first - original and a change from the FF style, characters were awesome as well :D

Third games in developement atm, but as far as I know the website is only in japanese, there're new main characters and I think it's set in America rather then Europe/Japan this time

No Yuri or Alice or Karin this time though ;_; But there are some characters with links to the previous games such as Hildegard Valentine (Vampire from same family as characters in previous games, the peach bat)

I've played the first one, and im about half through the second - I think.

I love them both, especially the second. I didn't know there will be a third one! That makes me happy!! ^___^ i'll really have to get it!

Well, the third one has been released already in Japan
on July 28, 2005. Obviously, it is japanese version.
I've finished the second but the first.....had an error that's

Anyhoots, I've been a fan since the first game came out. :D Shadow Hearts is awesome, it's right up there with FF, if not better, in my opinion.
Yuri is just awesome! (y^.^)y

The new main character from SH: FTNW doesn't look half as interesting as Yuri, though. Dammit. XD Oh well, he may be cool, who knows. o_o

Shadow Hearts was bloody brilliant! I loved it, innovative battle system. And great story. Pretty good graphics to boot! :)

What I mean there is.....the SH I bought is fake or pirated.
And I played the first game only once and played only the first part
of the first one.

I've played both of the Shadow Hearts games.
I especially like Shadow Hearts: Covenant, because I think its the most humorous RPG I've played in a long time...and I like every aspect of the game, really.

I think the first game was absolute excellence XD Its completely different from ANY other RPG out there, which makes it highly original =P The second game was really impressive as well, really good game, but it lacks one thing that the first game had.
HORROR.
:P And I'm beginning to feel it will fully lack in the third game by the looks of it, which isnt good in my opinion ; ; The main guy character looks rather annoying as well :P Yuri ftw! =O

Here's hoping Yuri makes a cameo appearance in FtnW. One of the best things about the original game was the dark and gothic atmosphere. I mean, did you ever get into the dolls house for Alice's ultimate weapon? Dear lord, that place was freaky. And they put it into SH2 as well, and it's still damn freaky in there too xD
What SH2 lacks in the darkness from Shadow hearts, it more then makes up with humour and characters. But from the looks of SH:FtnW looks more cuddly and cutsey then ever >_>

Hyperblade isnt a fan, he's obsessed, he's like all of FF fans put together on one game..seriously XD

Im gonna go buy this game when I get paid, it seems that it is a pretty good game.

Awesome, spectacular and danm fun. Shadow Hearts has helped me move on from FF, since FFX-2 totally scared me away, and FFXII isn't looking to bring me back anyway. Shadow Hearts III is Going to be released in North America by XSEED Games, A publisher composed of people from Square-Enix America (who obviously left XD). I can't wait for the third, since it's already gotten a danm good score on the Famitsu Magazine!

Shadow Hearts deserves outright worship. I can't believe that the first one is now rare, and it costs about £60 for a brand new copy. Which is about..twice as much in dollars, I think?

I only have Covenant, and I don't plan to get the third. It doesn't have Yuri or any of the characters from the other games in it, I don't think, so I don't think I'd like it very much.

I never got round to completing the first one, because the final boss is mean and won't be beaten. :(
