Background 1 Tutorial by Grae.(beginner level)
Okay well what to do here is to start off with a new image. Mines is 454 x 340 pixels, whichis standard photoshop size.
Take the Gradient tool and use the default black and white Gradient on there and set the mode to Difference.
Now randomly in all directions, shapes and sizes throw on soem gradients, not too much or it won't come out very well.
When you're done you should have something like this.

Next go to Filter -> Artistic -> Neon Glow and pick yourself a nice colour, I used a sort of light sea green.
Play around with the brightness a little and the size, what you want to do is get it so the glow has black inside it, as shown below.

Next we go to Filter -> Artistic -> Poster Edges
Play around with the filter til you get it a way you like it. I usually put the edge thickness and Posterisation to Maximum settings.

And he're's another example. This effect is pretty random, but easy to do, so you're sure to get something you like eventually.
Please post comments =)
