I can't believe there hasn't been a thread about this, I loved this anime. The story and everything was just great @__@..really disgusting though in most places. But it was superb, has anyone else seen this? cause if you haven't you have to. @__@
My favourite character in this has to be Tetsuo[sp?]

Its been forevers since Ive seen this movie. My brother bought it and we watched it right whne we got home. Ive though about buying it because at my work we have a used copy for $10

I have it on dvd, both versions...it is awesome!!!
i lso have a book signed by cam clarke (i know i cant spell XD)
and a poster signed by him too ^^
the storyline is awesome...XD

I've seen alot about this movie, I never thought to pick it up. But I might go and check it out. :)

We watched this at one of our film nights. Confused the heck out of all of us. But it's a good film.

I spent half of it annoying my pal Phil by pointing at the screen and saying "Is that Akira?"

Twas all in good fun, even if the WTF-o-meter went through the roof.

I've only seen AMVs of it at my friends, been tolds its weird. Then again thats just him.

Really need to watch it myself sometime ...

(Also if its there right thing the little uber boy looks a bit like Vegeta! XD)

Yeah, he looks a heck of a lot like Vegeta.

There are some very sick moments in it, but that's the sort of tv we watch as humans.

Good film, but I need to Wikipedia it sometime.

Akira is great! I've seen both the original and digitally remastered version, but the original is better... It's a little confusing at first, you can't look away for more than 3 minutes and still understand it!

If you haven't seen it, i highly recommend it!

I liked the movie too.

OM*G! On a count down of anime the Akira movie was described as "A movie about bike gangs..." and I was like wt* - what about the Akira experiment?
