i picked up a burger today to devour a tasty treat.....but i unwrapped it and it looked like someone dipped in into a bucket of water......and the cheese smelled of feet......i wanted to vomit.....just a little. and why ohh why does the chili taste.....funny....not funny haha.....but funny?

in our school today they were serveing dog food in tortillias blah, I hate tacos.

Well, my school lunch isn't THAT rancid and anti-edible, but it is pretty bad, but what can we do about it by complaining on a forum site that has nothing to do all with school...or food....Moo?

My school servers the normal crap that tastes like crap as well. They do have good food too. They always server pizza(good pizza that they order) and these fries that are SUPER good which everybody buys. Pizza is $2 a slice and fries are $1.50 each

O_o Well from what you guys have said then now I think my school food is five stars, xD. It's "okay", not THAT great but we don't do that cafeteria crap over here. Just a canteen thing and there's a line for each grade, haha (I think that's just our school). The meat pies aren't too nice, I once bought one (it also cost more than your usual pie would) and it tasted a bit cold, like they hadn't heated it up properly. As for everything else, meh it's okay, though sometimes the "pizza singles" are a bit hard lol.
im glad i made this thread, i feel alittle better about my school's crappy food....
My high school food was blah xD The soup was very thick and smelly o_o I always just bought a roll of bread, that's it. :P At my university though they had like a bar and 2 restaurants, one of them was actually pretty good xD I always ate pizza there, yummers :D

the food at my school is the worst its alwas cold and not very tasty
so I bring my own food or just go to burger king :D
I wish we had off campus lunches. That would be awesome. We get them 1 lousy day per quarter, its just not enough.
also, a hot ham and cheese roll thingy should not be soggy......that was the worst cheese and ham thingy ever.......soggy bread sucks
I agree. Soggy bread makes people sad...like me :(

Haha, I should make copies and ship out the copies of a documentary a good friend and I made about school cafeteria foods. It exposes everything about why the food is bad, why they don't do anything about it, how the food is processed, how the food gets to the schools. Everything... we went deep into the roots of cafeteria food services and we found out so much information that our film's finished product almost cracked two hours in length...
But, yeah, I'll never eat school food again. I did a lot in my Junior year, because I was always too lazy to make a lunch and take it with me, and I didn't get my off-campus pass until my senior year.

School meals over at my school are pretty gewd. Salad bar there all days of the week, meals like pasta, curry and things like that. As well as any healthy options, there's always a half portion of chips (or fries depending on wherever you're from) for 35p. Lovely xD I used to eat at the canteen all the time. In fact the only reason I don't now is because I'm too lazy to stand up queueing for 15 minutes to get some food, and then to not have anywhere to sit down with friends ~ It gets busy real quick. ;_; Now it's coming to winter I might though, hot food sounds very good x_X

My old school canteen at Park View (and Chris, Hideto and Katie can probably back this up depending on what they thought lol) was pretty cool...minus the large amount of charvs spreadout, facing the wall in all different directions as a punishment of...breaking a window or something, like they usually do lol.
The food itself was somewhat nice, I thought. The burgers were smallish but for me personally that was a good thing cause well...it was less junk to eat lol. The chips were okay too and we always had our own table in the corner of the room anyways. I prefered going out though, just for the sake of it at the time. Staying on a school campus for about 6 hours (discluding lunch) is hard enough lol. An extra hour...I'd die. xD
The burgers were nasty, but somehow addictive...
But the upside is we get let out to town for dinner, so I go to Church's nowadays.

Erm. Originally for the first week of the Upper School we were at (Year 9 - 11) we weren't allowed out at all so we had to eat the canteen food then too. Just thought I'd add that.
But yeah, when we were allowed out the shops were LITERALLY just outside the school pretty much and everyone just went wherever, so there was never one place TOO crowded.

Chris, I wasn't allowed out for the first week. I'm positive cause I can remember being pretty frustrated.
I have to say, the school I use to go to had really nice food.
you could have something from the salad bar, a sandwhich or...a hot meal
CHIPS,CHEESE + GRAVY = mmmm delicouis[sp?]
and some other stuff, which looked nice.
lets just all agree that lunch ladies wouldnt make good personal chefs..........*thinks about eating soggy bread and falls over*

my school serves the usual not so good over priced stuff. I prefere to go somewhere else at lunch since there is a mall maybe 30 minutes away from my school, we wouldn't make it back on time, but there are tons of food places on the way that we can go to and make it back in time, cept most of my friends are lazy and don't want to walk that far. So i usually end up etheir not eating or buying a burger, depending on how hungry i am.

I just cant wait till I get to grade 12 because then I will be a Senior and be able to leave campus to get some better food for lunch. Although some of the food in the cafeteria is good(the pizza) it is way too expensive and I could get an entire lunch for just around that much but I do like the fact that I dont have to pax tax on stuff at school where as I would have to do that if I went to another place to eat but whatever. I wana leave campus to get some better food.

I don't. I've not had a single pot noodle or can of baked beans since I got to university.
I have been living almost exclusively off curries and stir fries, though
i either bring my own lunch, or go to the chinese takeaway up the street. guess we're lucky. but yes, as dale said, uor lunches rocked at park view. good memories, the dinner ladies were scared of us. especially me for some reason. someting to do with a mars bar or something....
Well where I go we are not allowed to leave the school, I don't think so, I will have to check up on that, but yes I eat the food, and I am actually tired of it. Surprisingly we sometimes have good food, when the cooks aren't lazy they make homemade mash potatoes, and they are awesome, their cheeseburgers aren't all that bad either, or the curly fries.

Our school is mostly pretty good, but the lasagna and the chili make me really wonder if they are acutally made of things that are edible. I went to a diffrent school a few years ago. OMFG IT WAS HORRIBLE! Not only did the food look/taste nasty, but half the time everyone got sick if they ate it. I remember one time they served chicken patties, they were like rubber and about 3/4ths of the school was sick the rest of the day. They even served hotpockets one time, i mean come on how the hell can you make hotpockets taste horribl, BUT THEY DID! it was scary.....

a canteen~healthy and unhealthy...
tuck shop~ fruit and crud wOOt~
but you have to stand in line for like...20 mins before you get any food, and by that time all the good food is gone....
Well the first high school I went to, the food rocked. Milkshakes, smoothies, icecream, burger, pizzas and it was all good >.> Not to mention junk food galore o_O Then the second high school... was like road kill on a bun... *shudders*

Well when I was in highschool lunch was heaven cuz I got to se emy real friend swho I never had classes with (so I dunno how we became friends) but it was HELL because you'd have to wait FOREVER (and lunch was a mere 30 min) to get your food and 1000000 people would cut in front of you and you didn't say anything because you were the dorky white boy and messing with mexicans was dangerous. God it tourmented me so much. School lunch lines made me racist, I won't even go to mexico for cheap dental work, they can take their bad attitude and stick it up their butts.

I havent eaten at school for almost 2 years because it sucks!
The chips(fries) taste like swet, the burgers taste like rats, and the only good thing is the cookies:D

Canteen food isn't THAAAT bad. If you didn't like it then why waste your money. Our food is ok but they keep taking the prices up which really SUCKS. and it's really stupid because they had to remove hotchips because they were 'too fattening and contribute to teen obesity" but they've been replace with wedges with 'low-fat' sour cream and they still sell choc bars, pies, nachos, sundaes, sausage rolls and all that, which really are as bad as hotchips. But they also sell fruit, milk cartons, tortillas (yum yum), filled rolls and other yummy 'healthy' stuff

Well while i dont go to school anymore, i was never fond of all the food they had, was really kinda slop if you ask me but i hear they get better these days.

The food totally sucked in my high school. It was like... no softdrinks and crappy crap-tasting rice balls. That's why most students back then always brought lunch.
However in the university there's three restaurant in the east. So I guess that's fine... except I just strangely love sweets. I don't know why I still stay in shape though.
