Smackdown Vs. Raw 2006

This game comes out today, and I hope to have it soon. :) Instead of THQ just adding to the old sytem of the smackdown games, they've decided to give the game a huge "face lift". Overhauling the animations and all sorts of goodies. Not to mention the inclusion of a match that every wrestling fan has wanted to play for a long time, the buried alive match. New redone intro's, customizable intros. :) And the roster has got to be one of its best...(Except for Hogan takes up three of my choices!!!) It also has a good legend choice included in the roster, Junk Yard Dog, Steve Austin, British Bulldog to name a few. I think that this game will end up being the best smackdown if not the best wrestling game, since wrestling games have been around. :)

Yeah, you can have Elimination Chamber wars with the likes of Rey Mysterio, JBL and Heidenreich. You'll probably never see that happen in real life.

Not to mention, the last game Eddie Guerrero will be on..

The game looks pretty good. Another game i'd get if my ps2 wasn't broken.

Yet another game, wonder if this one will actually have a good season mode?

I used to like the games, not anymore though. The games just seem to be the same with minor changes, the season never being very good or long and the moves looking more and more outdated each time. Its the sort of thing I would only buy now if there really was nothing else.

I love the arrogant pin Chris Jericho does on other wrestlers while doing that cocky pose. He used to do that at live shows. It's a pity he's gone now, but he may sign a new contract and come back. I'm sure he'll be in every wrestling game to come.

And this game has had a huge overhaul in gameplay mechanics as anyone who has played it can tell. :)

The only thing that feels unrealistic about it is the fact that Chris Masters can apply his special submission hold very early and everybody can escape from it. In reality, no wrestler could get out of that move with such ease.

I love wrestling, and I love the game series, but this by far is the best. The season mode is great, graphics are great, the matches are great, I give it an A. I have just seen it and played it, I don't yet own it, but I am working on it. I do agree on the Eddie thing, it was such a travesty that he died, but I look for them to put him on the game as a legend, and even being inducted to next years hall of fame.

The roster is a bit disorganised though. Mark Jindrak and Spike Dudley are in the game, yet they has been away for months. Luther Reigns never even made it to the games and neither did Rosey. MNM are ultimately absent which sucks. I love a good tag team tournament with the greatest teams. Like I said, Eddie Guerrero could be added to future games as a secret wrestler. I'd love to play Chavo Guerrero, Chavo Classic and Eddie Guerrero all that once against Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio and Chris Benoit. That would be so cool. :P

Well Mark Jindrak has been released from the WWE so I do not see why he is in the game. I am not sure about Spike Dudley though, I am not sure if he has been released as well.
