Dream Tournament
Conquer your nightmares and live your dream
Requirements: Level 20+
Rules:
This is an individual tournament, clans are NOT allowed to help each other
Items are not allowed to be used, anyone caught using them will be disqualified whether they won or lost, no re-matchs will be given
You may not submit a battle until a judge has looked at it.
Judges may enter the tournament but will not be able to judge their own battle, and if a judge breaks any rules they will be disqualified and removed from being a judge
Battles will first be sorted out into level order
The finalist will have to battle Dark Kaede
Whether you win or lose, you will gain something.
You cannot start a battle with a limit
Prizes:
1st Place: 10,000gil + A Character (Hero or enemy) in Avius Anima:Insomnium End
2nd Place: 5,000gil + An important NPC
3rd Place: 2,000gil + A random NPC
Any Place: 500gil

Sweet. This looks very spiffy, Kaede. Very professional stuff you've got here. Nice prizes, not a cruddy amount of gil, and the game character thing is really cool, too. You'll see that I meet the tourny requirements seeing as how I'm above level 20. So I'd like to compete. Can people just post here if they wanna' compete or be a judge? Or do they like, send a PM to you for a judge position or something?

Just a question what do you mean by "items"? Does that include weapons, spells, armour, etc or is it just items as in potions? Yeah i'll enter fo 'sure =D And that's cool, you can be a character in your game thing xP. And what if someone is like alot higher than your level? Or have checked already and there is no user stronger than you? xP.
in theory im pretty much the strongest character but there seems to be some sort of bug, and items as in potions.

Think about it for a second Trigger. Less people = higher chances of wining, xD. And maybe not alot of people are over level 20? Or maybe just alot don't like battling or using the RPG that much.

Ummmm... fire dragon keeper, I don't think anyone will steal his few hundred thousands of gil I mean it's pretty hard - I think the more you try to steal that harder it will get it and it's already KIND OF hard (not really HARD, but still...) just to try and steal a few pieces lol. And i've sent my PM already =/ And yeah Dale that's right you stronger than her since you've got a hell lot more posts, but maybe she might be able to beat you anyway? xP.

You've got a good chance at beating Scotty here and I'm pretty sure you'll beat Crazylegs, too, but there's really no chance in babaloo that you'll get past me, Dale, Kaede and Vongy. Well, unless you have a limit break charged up from the start, then you might take one of us down, but you've still got a couple more to go...:D

Yeah, probably. So while it'll be kinda' hard to kill him off, there's a chance that we won't be able to do much damage either, probably still decent damage, 'cause I know he's like Lv37. But yeah, I think we should stop planning strategies against people, at least in this thread.
What if the two strongest (Trigger and Dale I believe) somehow had a draw in a match? Maybe they could like.... ehhrrrmmm... both get knocked out, xD. Cause I KNOW I aint got much chance against either of them - being level 31 only (since you said Dale was like level 37).

Geez some people train WAY too much, about two people have won 400+ battles, one being Kaede, xP. It gets boring after a few minutes since it's easy and everything (well in my case the highest monster I can challenge is BeheMOTH (haha MOTH!) and that's like already about a level or so below me).

not really only i have 400+ (533 battles)and its really boring but after 50 I go on Autopilot :P

Ok this is what I do
1. Put some music on
2.challange a monster
3.defeat him
4.while listening some to some great music repeat step 2 and 3 a few times till you had enough
it's not much fun :P
Well about the "no limit at the start of battles". That should no longer be a problem, if your limit rises up in a battle, but the battle already ends - in the next battle you'll start off with your original limit (the limit that the chosen class should have). Well that's what's happened to me, it went up to 70 something and then came back down the 40 =/ And my stats have changed again (from posting I think) so i'm just gonna battle again and then PM you the stats again lol.

So what happens when our stats have changed and we've already PMed you our previous stats, do we have to PM you again cause that's what's happened to me =/ I'm one level higher basically - I didn't fight and I think it came from posts (but I have since then).
Nah it's fine your stats wont be affected that much

Okay, I counted, and we've got an odd number of contestants. I don't know if Kaede'll start it with 9 people, we're just gonna' have to wait for her to get back and see if she's even still doing the tounrey...
I'm also still waiting to get started on the tourny, man I'm gonna be smashed in this :P
We could make some people have byes. Say if one person had a bye however, that would mean there would be five winners from the 9 people+bye, then it'd be an odd number. So we'd have to get enough people to be around 16, so it'll work out properly. So like 16 - 8 - 4 - 2 - 1. Unless it's not a knockout tournment =/ We could make it you challenge x amount of people and the most wins makes you the winner and then you challenge Kaede and if there's any ties then those people battle each other.
This is how it's going to work:
The highest level contestant is what i'm going to call the 'Ticket Holder', he is placed at the top of the ranks as being the highest level. There are 6 'normal players' being the lower levels who battle each other in an order given. If you lose a battle it doesn't mean you are out of the tournament, you can challenge the 'Ticket Holder'. Winning the battle against the 'Ticket Holder' means you are able to re-enter the tournament, and kicks the 'Ticket Holder' out of the tournament. Losing means bye-bye to you from this tournament. The 'Ticket Holder' will also be the last one to battle before the Boss, Kaede. But if during the 'Ticket Holder' you beat him, it doesn't make you the 'Ticket Holder' per'se, it just means you gained the ticket to re-enter then the ticket is discarded as is the starting 'Ticket Holder'
Each fight will consist of 2 rounds, if 1 person wins 1 round and the other wins the other. It means you enter what I will call the 'Final Showdown' during this it's not who dies, it's who deals the most damage.
The 'Ticket Holder' will be: TriggerHappi:D as he is the highest level contestant (that i've checked so far, so it may change)

Hmm...I seem to get the gist of it...
So when it actually starts, I just wait around for people to decide to lose? Okey-dokey...And is healing allowed in-between battles?

If so then who will? And yeah I get the idea of all this - it sounds pretty interesting. But how do the "normal players" advance through the tournment? And i'm wondering the same question for the Ticket Holder. Yeah i'm confused with some of it lol.
If you beat the 'Ticket Holder', no-one becomes the ticket holder that's it. There's only 1 ticket, 1 chance for 1 person to re-enter depending on whoever is lucky enough to beat him.
People advance through the tournament by going through stages, 3 people are chosen as the "sub-bosses", which goes to Stage 1, 2 and 3. The test battle is the battle that only happens if the 'Ticket Holder' hasn't been beaten beforehand, if he has you go straight to the final stage which is the boss, me. The 'Ticket Holder' doesn't have to advance through stages which means if he is the only left, he wins the tournament without having to challenge the Boss.
With the stages, on the 1st stage he has his first challenger. If the sub-boss is defeated he stays at stage one, if the sub-boss wins he advances to the next stage, which means the loser becomes the stage 1 sub-boss and then awaits the next challenger, the only thing that doesnt affect is on stage 3, if the sub-boss wins then the challenger is kicked out, if he wins he stays as the sub-boss. Which means the 'Ticket Holder' doesn't get challenged into later on, which to some of means you'll probably gain a few exp points and about 300gil in healing afterwards xD.
But yeah, is that explained ok? is there any objections?
edit: Oh and Trigger, all challengers and sub-bosses are allowed to heal after each battle. BUT, the 'ticket holder' is not allowed to heal until he finds his next challenger and finds out the level, then you are allowed to heal a certain amount depending on the level difference.

Boss: Neo vs Auron
Victor = Auron.
Auron progresses to the Test Stage, he's the last contestant alive
Test Stage:
Boss: Trigger vs Auron
Victor= Trigger
Trigger wins the tournament.

Alright I get it now, it all pretty much makes sense now xP. Can we heal IN a battle say for example we use Cure or something? And are you saying like it's going to be until next month we can start? xP. Oh well I can wait lol. And Trigger.... no fair your like 4 levels higher than me xP.

As far as spells go, you can use as many as you want curing or offensive but no items.

Dale said he's gonna take part in the tournament again, so he's going to take my place, he will be the Final Boss.
Soon, im going to update my first post with full listing of rules, information about the tournament how its gonna be set-up and stuff andthen i'm going to show how it will be set out.
then a diagram will follow with peoples names inside, I will PM the two people whos battle is up next and it is up to them to decide a time and date.
