View Full Version : Sound won't work
Gah @_@ Since a few days ago my sound won't work on my computer. I plugged in my headphones (they have a weird place to plug them in...not in the speakers but at the bottom below the disk drive somewhere o_O ) and it worked fine, but the moment I plugged them out the sound went...I can't figure it out. I've checked my configurations in the control panel but I can't find anything...:x

Checked the cables to your speakers? Sometimes mine get knocked loose when I shift the PC unit around >_<;; If the computer is picking up the fact that the sound card is still installed it might be something silly like leaving mute on. (or maybe whenever I do that it's just me being dumb .__. )
Totally off topic, but the image thingy in your signature made me giggle xD The wyvern looks cute, loving the Dragoons's helmet xD

Hmm, that's weird. Sometimes this happens to me, but most of the time it's usually something on the computer. Try these things...
- In your system tray, double click your volume icon. Make sure none of those types of audio are turned down or anything, because just one of them turned down can mess up your volume. Also make sure they are all evenly balanced.
- If all those look fine, go to Options and put a check next to Advanced Controls, if one is not there. Then, click Advanced under Playback. Make sure "Digital Output Only" is not checked.
If neither of those work, maybe there is a shortage in the wires of your speakers. I would try taking your speakers out of the soundcard in the back, and plugging in your headphones there. If that works, then it's definitely not your sound card.
Let me know if any of this works or not. :P
