Does anyone still play old DOS games?
Me sometimes, but 7 or 8 years back on my old school we had kinda old computers and on them games were installed like Duke Nukem, Morraff's Blast, Jill of the Jungle, Lemmings, Jazz Jackrabbit.
When I got a new PC with Windows XP all DOS games stopped working. But some months ago I found DOSbox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net). It's an emulator which emulates DOS. So with it you can play all your old DOS again! :D
On various websites you can download the games, some are still Shareware, but also some are Abanbonware. Just use Google to find them. ;)

I like the Alone in the Dark games that came out in that era, as you can tell from my avatar and signature image.
I like hocus pocus, Arena II (Oh, man! i still get tears of the good memories of this demo) this rpg is so good, you can duplicate yourself, make earthquakes, summon monsters, it is like a turnbased strategy rpg, but larger and more buggy (buggier)
DOS OS is the greatest you can get!! upgrade now to V7.0 and you can play the latest games......Even the great duke nukem II!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG I never saw this thread before, I miss lemmings ;_; I can remember when I was like 5,6 or 7 playing at my Nan's on lemmings and they like fall on the trampolines and in the fire omg @_@
I don't think i'd use an emulator and play them again.
yeah lemmings was class, and the theme tune to it as so catchy. ANother good old DOS game is this one with 2 monkeys and you throw banana's at each other but I havnt got a clue what that is called.
DOS? I don't think I've ever played a DOS game. I heard they're fun, but I'm not into stuff like that.

DOS (or MS-DOS), which stands for Disk Operating System is the predecessor of Windows. You had to enter commands to execute things.

Let's revive this topic, since I have some good news.
3D Realms has released Alien Carnage (also known as Halloween Harry) as a freeware game! :D This means the game can be downloaded now from their website and have all 4 episodes in it. Check it here (http://forums.hellandheavennet.com/www.3drealms.com/news/2007/05/alien_carnage_freeware.html).
For other DOS games I suggest you to go to Abandonia (http://www.abandonia.com). They have a huge list of games and most of them are available for download.
