Okay, this is a question that has long kept me stumped since I was 12.

What do I buy my parents for Christmas?

I really have no idea what to buy them for Christmas, I'm so terrible at knowing what to get I've got my dads gift down, but as for my mum, I'm so unsure. Please help me out, what did you buy your parents for christmas? Maybe you can give me some ideas.

mum's....dont we just love them ^^

Okies, mums are generally female (no duh)
How about:
~a piece of jewelry (her favorite stone, or colour etc.)
~a bag
~cuddly toys
~make-up
~a day at the spa token
~candles/ incense/ bath stuff
~flowers
~clothing (a top/scarf and gloves etc.)
~shoes

does that help?

I don't k now what makeup she uses, I just know she uses a lot. Whenever I slap her my hand comes back a different colour, lol. Jk jk.

She said not to buy her anymore cuddly toys.

No Spas around.

Shoes? I'm terrible at picking shoes. Clothes too, I'm too nervous to walk into a woman's clothes store, I'm reminded of that episode of Father Ted when all the priests are in the lingerie shop. Yeah, something like that.

I could get her one of those bath things with the bubble bath and bath salt crystals and what not, she might like that.

I think it's insulting to give parents chocolates because once they've ate them, that's that. I usually get them a DVD or something that they can keep.

^These are usually the only stuff I can come up with myself..xD
And maybe a tin if I see one that I think my mom'd like (she collects those).
It's hard getting gifts for parents. x.x;
As for my dad...no idea. That man doesn't even have a hobby.

I'm struggling for something to get for my Mum too. I'd say, something like flowers, candles, bath stuff, beauty stuff, anything girly so long as she's feminine...

I'm going to get my Mum some bath stuff this year, I know she loves them and after me and my sisters stress her out, she's guarenteed to want a relaxing beauty session bath time xD. My Dad I'm getting either the most recent SOAD CD or a Rammstein DVD because yeah, he wants them so much.

As for those bath stuff you mentioned Grae, I'm pretty sure she'd like them - I know my Mum would. Best bet is to just think long and hard, like i have to, you've been around your Mum...18 years? That's a long time, there must be something which is meaningful and nice she'd like. ^_^

Ah, it's always hard to buy for parents. =(

get him Lichtspelhaus if he doesn't have it, it's a collection of all their music videos o_o some live stuff, and story of their early years. Unless he doesn't have it already XD I have it, it's so good.

My mum said a few days ago she wanted some of that new Olay Regenerist or something, any idea how much that costs? I was looking at bath stuff today in Woolworths, £10, not bad

olay regenerist is quite expensive compared to most creams and stuff, and if you buy her wrinkle cream, she might think you're sending a message.

my mum wants the new take that CD, nuff said.

she said she wanted it
last year she wanted me to get her that injection stuff that loosens up muscles

edit: BOTOX, thats it

I'd feel so offended if someone got me botox, unless I asked for it, of course. >_>

DON'T LET HER GET THAT THING ON HER LIPS...Like that leslie fish woman...V.v

And my Mum doesnt like Take That, but I'm tempted to get her it and say "Oh well, looks like I'll just have to keep it..." :D

Hmm... I have studied away from home for the past 4 years and my presence is big enough a present for my mum.. but I suppose that does not apply if you are still at home ( I miss home ; ; )

What I can think of is.. something which does not necessarily need to be bought. It is very touching if you made the gift yourself as it presents a personal gesture and feeling.

What I did for my mum's birthday this year was to go rock climbing a month before her big day to look for raw, unrefined excess of crytalite around the rocks. When I found a suitable chunk, I just removed the dirt etc and carved out something which looked presentable. It wasnt much but my mum loved it..she puts it on her dressing table now..

At the very end, its the thought that counts.. not the worth of the present..if that particular person has everything in the world ^^.. with a little TLC, anything can happen :)

Botox isn't like that, she had her lips blown up :P

Botox relaxes the muscles where it is injected and it decreases wrinkles. The more you get uit the more effective it is. Unfortunately its about £100-£200 for an injection. She wanted some after she saw it on niptuck, lol, theres a tablet too.

Seraphis, I think that's amazing what you did for your mum, I wish I could do something like, but unfortunately I just don't have the means or knowledge for something that creative =(

maybe i could buy a raw chunk online, but then I'd need something to carve it with, and soemthing to carve, lol.

Hmm.. if you check out a few websites Ueda, Im sure you can find a way to decorate something.

Since X-mas is around the corner, I have a few suggestions up my sleeves. Im from a country where there is no winter so unfortunately I have not had the chance to try it out myself :(

What you can do is grab a small piece of firewood (or look for wood) and you can basically let your creative juices start running with a simple pocket knife! (or something sharp xD) A hint is.. do not think of what to carve beforehand.. just do it xD
You will be surprised what your hands can come out with by allowing a free hand.. You cannot reproduce it and its one of a kind ;)

You might want to surprise your mum by decorating the tree with your own decorations you made.. This requires a lot of time and Im not sure if you have it.. but its an idea :) Stuff like aluminium tins, acorns, ribbons, wire etc etc and viola~~

I hope these suggestions will help you with more with what to think of ^^;;

Good night ZZzzZZzz...

Well, I normally buy my mom jewlery or stuffed animals, she loves that stuff >_>
As for my dad, bit harder, normally electronic...stuff... This year though, no clue what to get my dad. Got him a very nice dvd player/burner and there is not much left electronic wise to get him @.@ So like... Gift cards rule when you have no clue what to get >_>b
