A new year has just begon, so let me give you the future of HHN Forums.

I'm planning to upgrade the forum system again to vBulletin 3.5.x, since it has more features, like AJAX and makes it easier to install hacks. The upgrade will happen when NeoRevan has released his new converted version of RPG Integration that will feature some new small things but a couple of things (like the itemshop) shall be revamped.

I hope Darkwaltz4 will release his converted version too of his Triple Triad system.

Styling the forums is hard, since I dunno if the colors I'm gonna use will feel good or not. And getting a good free style is hard, cause there aren't much... :(

I hope the activity of the forums will increase, cause now it's really on a low point.

Nice to see the stuff thats in store for the forums, I'm looking forward to seeing some of the new features that the new version will bring. And as for the activity of the forums, I'm sure if we all dig our heels in and find us some good, nice, clean new people to join things should hopefully be back on track :D

I actually don't have that much left, just the creation of new PvP battle, browse battles, the actual battle, and monster battles.
Forgot to to registration too but I can do that right now XD

Anyways reason for delay is that it's very hard to find motivation to do free work, so yeah...

PS: To upgrade to the new RPG the forums need to be upgraded to vB3.5, just so ya know.

Ye I can read, I was just specifying that Im not making a 3.0.x updater youd have to run before upgrading vB itself.
Course if you plan to wipe all RPG data it makes no licking difference one way or the other XD

The forum system upgrade is not far away anymore now.
NeoRevan is almost done with the new beta version of the RPG system, only no Monster Arena will be included yet.
The author of the TripleTriad hack hasn't released a vB 3.5.x compatible version, so we'll have to do it without it for a little while. Please note all data will be saved, so nothing will be resetted, I hope.

I can confirm this, as Im currently laying the finishing touches on the Postbit, after which I will proceed to test the Upgrade script.
After that is complete, HHN can, if Zidane wishes, become a PTS (Public Test Site). I haven't completed the Battle Arena, Monster Arena nor AdminCP interface for both of the above. Apart from that, everything else is complete. Further adding completed features would consist only of uploading new files as they are complete.

Anyways, gotta get back to the workings of this JS function.

Yep, I agree with ~CY on this one.

Don't worry about forum activity too much. I'm sure it'll build up again sometime soon.

I don't mean to bring the tone of the place down but I'm just stating that most of the old major posters aswell as myself are kinda declining from this place. Not that, that's a bad thing but, it'll be awhile before the other members slot into the amount of posts we did a day lol.

Sometimes over the past few weeks, since I've came back, HHN has had the same new posts within the space of five-six hours. It is a major lag but I'm not gonna complain cause I'm admitting, I'm not posting much myself anymore. I'm posting something like three-four posts a week max and that's it.

I don't think we should make too much of a big deal out of the activity, it's sort of okay I guess but I suppose we could use some more. But you must keep in mind people live in different timezones, so you know.... you might of just looked at the forum where most people were busy, still asleep, at school/work or something. And I only post once to a few times a day, sometimes I don't probably because I have yet to go on the comp. or am just too busy with school.

Okay, this evening I think it's gonna happen! NeoRevan is done with the beta version of RPG Integration. I'll upgrade the forum system to vBulletin 3.5.3, only all the hacks that are currently installed will not be there anymore. Some needs to be re-installed and some are not converted yet.

I think the upgrade will happen around 9 or 10 o'clock (CET). Of course a database backup will be made.

The following things are not fuctioning in the version of the RPG Integration Hack this forum will be Alpha testing:

Battle Arena
Monster Arena
Battle Arena (Admin Control Panel section)
Monster Arena (Admin Control Panel section)


These areas will be disabled by an administrator until such time as they are ready for testing.

Triple Triad is a hack is based on the Final Fantasy VIII mini game. For more info check Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_Triad). The hack is currently unavailable, since it isn't converted yet to vB 3.5.x.
