Mine is Either Sephiroth or Cloud. I think they are both very great characters. They add to the greatness of the storyline. And plus it is fun to see sephiroth toy with cloud. :D

Male Hero: Cloud
Male Villain: Sephiroth
Female Hero: Tifa
Female Villain: Elena
Zack was awesome, I wish you could play as him. :(

I know that I'm not very original, but there's a reason everyone loves Sephiroth! He's so sinister! With the unbelievable strength, and the burning of the nebelheim, and the freaky way relationship he has with Jenova, and the endless list of evil thingys he does. No one hates Sephiroth, and if you do, then you're lying to yourself.

Aeris/Aerith and Vincent. What sucked was that I used Aeris for the majority of the game, so she was my best character. Then when I lost her, my other party members were awful! >.< I had to do some major leveling.

I guess my favourite character was Reno. I liked his style for some reason. It was fascinating, and he makes both a good bad guy and would make a good good guy I reckon.

I like Zack he just look great and you can talk to his parents they are in Gongaga the house with the hole. they tell you even more which just make me even more curious to find out about his past.

He was the only one that I didn't have a problem with and he was just a kind of guy people could relate to and not get annoyed over.
My Favs were Tifa, Yuffie and Cloud playable, non-playable would be Sephiroth and uhm that's it XD
Mine was sephiroth as usual. And really I dont know why. Its just something about him. Also i really like Vincent.

I really like Yuffie although it is annoying when she steals your materia.... Still she's my absolute fave! I also LOVE Reno for some wierdo reason. To be honest the only character that gets on my nerves is Aeris...:)

Heh heh, just kidding. My favourite character would have to be Cid, just because I've equipped him with the E.Skill materia, and I'm refusing to remove it.
I really loved Aeris the whole spirtual thing rocks i also loved her dress

Cloud's cool, but he's not my favourite character. Put it this way - if I had the choice to remove him from my party and use three other characters, I might do.
I always use Cid, like said earlier.
sephi is my fave, then follows vincent (i could'nt even find him but anyway he looks cool ) then zack came in the picture and I Was stunned.....what a cool guy....
annoying yuffie......annoying aeris.......annoying caith sith...........

It's a shame about Vincent - I would use him, but his limit break sucks eggs. At one point when he used it, he ran away.

Kadaj is cool.
Cid's my favourite character, followed by Reeve. Not Cait Sith, Reeve. Because the plot behind that was detailed and well-thought out.

I am going to have to go with the Ultimate master of destruction. My man Sephiroth. I consider him my Idiol. I can be just like him if I want to. I just can't blow the Earth up with a Meteore yet.:D

Definitely Vincent, though I think Yuffie's kind of cool too. She's really funny in the game. Though I'm not a Yuffentine shipper (not at all, blegh!)
Anyways, I think Reno's funny too. Especially after having seen Advent Children. And Vincent is really droolworthy in it... *sweeps up drool*
I'd have to go with Reno for his funnyness (in the movie that is) and for the rest Vincent for being so mysterious and able to transform into wicked monsters.

I think Vincent, I liked his attitude and his eerie background to his life is kinda interesting, since he was a Turk afterall.
I don't know why but I think Sephiroth is quite a bad character, he had hardly any personality and all he ever said was "I'm going to become one with the planet!" Which is extremely annoying.
WELL there is a really big backround behind sephiroth except no one looks it up and yes I'm a geek and I look up these kindof things.....but anyway to tell the truth sephiroth was a good guy at heart... it had to explain s youll just heve to look it up

My favorite used to be Tifa, but when I replayed it a year ago, I love Yuffie because she's just so badass. (Or at least she thinks she is...I guess that counts for something.)
I'll probably get some hating, but Aeris was my least favorite, because she was a little useless, and kinda annoying. She redeemed herself at the end, though. :)
My fav was Cloud becase he was really kool throughout the game

my favorite character was probably vincent. He was so quite and i liked his look. He looked almost like a vampire, and he reminded me of Auron from FFX. He had a laidback attitude and that made him the most amazing character from FFVII.
My most favourite is Cloud. No other comments :D

My favorite character's Cloud! I wish I had spiky hair like him! But my hair isn't for spikes, it's more like a Reks (from FFXII) hairstyle, or something like Kadaj's though shorter.
Hmm... maybe I should have a new hairstyle. I'll have a `do like Rasler from FFXII.
My favorite would have to be cloud, he just had such bad ass moves! Nanaki was cool too. My least favorite is Aeris. :\

Dude, it really looks like you're a fan of Genesis ^_^
It may sound repetitive, but I like Cloud the best because I got to know more about him in Crisis Core. I really liked his personality back then.
Sephiroth was my personal favirote since I was around 8 when i played it, Genesis and Sephiroth are almost the same person in my opinion, Genesis is probably they probably are equal though

In all honesty, this probably sounds a little generic, considering the usual responses you would get, but here are my favorite characters of VII:
-Cloud-
Okay, most girls and a good number of guys will say Cloud is their favorite. My reasons are simple, seeing how a tend to like characters that follow these basic things: they're a main character (check), they wield swords (check), and they use ridiculously large weapons (. . . check check. . .). Aside from those, Cloud is pretty cool overall and I just like him.
-Sephiroth-
The other most common answer to this, and he follows the main enemy profile along with the other two reasons that I liked Cloud. Aside from those, Sephiroth is just plain evil, in many regards, has an awesome theme, and just has that dark feeling about him that makes me like certain characters.
-Vincent-
Okay, Vincent may not have a sword, or a large weapon (excluding Death Penalty), but he was cool enough to star in his own spinoff (yes, I liked Dirge, bite me). Aside from that, Vincent is questionably a darker character than Sephiroth and easily has a nice past full of those interesting twists.
-Reno-
The main other guy I liked. He's not so common as a favorite, but I can understand why. Why do I like him? He's a punk that can hold his own in a fight, knows when to be serious, and is just a plain goofball half the time (Advent Children state). I like him because of that, simple enough.

Vincent:
I like dark hair. I like shady (though good) characters. I like red and black. Not hard to put 2 and 2 together. I like Vincent because he's such a complex character. He didn't get his own spin off for nothing (Yes, just like Sephy-kun I liked Dirge. Bite me too if you dare). Even with this spin off, where, in my opinion, Vincent is displayed too flat as a character, but I was willing, and able, to see through that in an effort to know his story. Other than that, I like him for very shallow reasons. He's cute (even when he was just a few blocks with 2 eyes and spikey hair he already was cute), handsome, wields a gun (I like gun wielders: see Balthier, Irvine) and he's just SQUEE-worthy (*squees*) ... Very shallow, I know...
Reno:
Really, I'm not copying Sephy-kun. I just seem to agree. Reno is just this character that's the definitely the comical note in AC. And none other than him could've been. You really don't know if he really is that clumsy or if he just pretends to be. And yes, agreed with Sephy-kun again, he's the biggest goofball of them all. I don't know why he reminds me of Irvine from FFVIII. The red hair is also a plus. I don't like red hair, but THAT red I do like.
Aeris:
Aeris is just too sweet and cute. I can't imagine her ever being mean or something. She's the goodness herself. An angel is the closest word I can find. She's so cheerful, chipper, overall in a good mood. She's just so nice, anyone must like her personality (Yes, I'm actually a girl liking a girl in a final fantasy game!).

Thats rather easy, Aeris is my favourite FF VII character, hands down. She's pure, and innocent; she strives to do the greater good even if it means she has to make a great sacrifice. Her character definitely shines in FF VII, I found FFVII to be great but has dark elements to it - in which created a strong impact on the story itself. Having Aeris present really helped the darker elements, seem lighter. Even after playing it several times through, I get really upset when she dies, without her being there, the atmosphere of the game is rather shadow-like.

Cloud for sure. He looks really awesome with his Buster Sword. And his Limit Breaks are the best.
