I think this should be in the other rpg's section.

If you liked the first one because of it's challenge and story, then you might not like the 2nd. Where you were the uber awesome Darth Revan in the first one, you are a exiled member of the Jedi Council and you have to save them all.... lame! You level up too fast on the game... I rented it but by the time I returned it I was at level 35 or higher!

Enough rant though.... Must remember the good times of KOTOR 1. I liked that game, alot! I was pure evil while Lindsay (sister) was pure good. I liked the fact that I could kill people if I wanted to, the whole "evil" thing came over me. I stole... anything evil in the game. I loved killing that one girl.. I think it was Juhana or something, but yeah, that game was great. ^_^ I just never got what happened in the second one... there's like no Revan in it I think....

Where you started out as a soldier with no Jedi powers and had to "cheat" in order to stay low lvl to get as many Jedi powers before your lvl cap of 20 bit you in the anus in the first one, you now start out purely with Jedi powers and thus get stronger faster.
You level up too fast on the game... I rented it but by the time I returned it I was at level 35 or higher! Then again the lvl cap is 50 this time IIRC.
I just never got what happened in the second one...That's because they did a good job with the story. The story in the first was too obvious. Only twists were when Bastila turned evil and the revelation of Revan. In the 2nd, there was WAY more twists than this. You could never be sure whether or not Kreia was evil or what.
there's like no Revan in it I think....They mention him by name, and $5 says in K3 you either play as a new Jedi that will team up with Revan and the Exile in K4, or you can meet Revan in K3.

well, if you guys do get any solid evidence of KOTOR III like a release date or anysuch thing, please inform me.
im not much of a gamer so i have absolutely no clue where to get updates on incoming games.
thanks for the input on KOTOR II!, i bought it and loved it, i think KOTOR I did a better job at some points but KOTOR II also rocked.

Bought KOTR II (Loved it)

Beat it in a few days

Someone stole it -.- (Only game of mine that has ever been stolen from me..from my own house even..So it must of been by someone I know, saying that, most likely my cousin.)

Either way, it is a very good game. I got it for the computer, and there were a few crashes here and there (I never got to update it) but other then that, I liked the game overall.

By the way, Belazor is right. =)

Yeah, this game is pretty cool. When you get your lightsaber for the first time you feel like a badass. After I got mine, I went through the whole game solo except for on the missions that required another character. It took a while because i got killed a few times but..the game was still fun. I think the darkside was better because you get better abilities like the force crush. The only downside was that your skin gets really jacked-up.

I have the first one too. But I got it after i played the second. So, it's hard playing it because the second one had a better story and the first one starts off a little boring.

I wanna buy KOTOR, I use buy in a very loose term, more accurately I want KOTOR and KOTORII but I don't have the money to pay for them xD I really like BioWare games, and from what I heard they did a great job on the two Knights of the old republic games, I'd love to try them out some time. (I like starwars too, (the older films at least) for that matter O: )

Regardless of whether they made Kotor II or not, Bioware make fantastic games. BGII anyone? I haven't played the second one, but I hope this new company, Obsidian, did as good a job as Bioware did on the first!

Story wise, it pwns K1 by far.
Programming wise, well tons of people have been complaining about bugs, though personally I haven't noticed anything earth-shattering. Only thing I noticed was the fact that the game would always start in windowed mode, and I had to manually set it to fullscreen. No biggie though.
Also, the media patch for K2 improved the music and video quality by far, though Im waiting to play until the TSL Restoration Project is done.

Ah! There, I knew Bioware came from somewhere sensible, I remeber they had something to do with the KOTOR games at least xD And yeah, I'm inclined to agree, the Baldurs Gate series of games was wonderful, first RPG game I really got into before I got my PSX. Study leave starts soon, I may take the oppertunity to hunt around for cheapy KOTOR I and II or try BitTorrent them if I can.
