What Type of Gamer Are You?

Okay, so there are different types of gamers... All from the "Casual" to the "Ultra-Hardcore fanatic".

Thinking about it, I would call myself an "Ultra-Hardcore fanatic" myself...

There are certain things you have to look at to what type of gamer you are.

How often you play: Every once in a lifetime - Every day.
How 'Good' you are at gaming: I always select beginner - I own any game I touch.
How many videogames you own: #
How long you can play a game for before putting it down: (Can't really estimate this O_o)

And other such things... Just post what you are and give some examples =D


As I said earlier, I would have to say Ultra-Hardcore =/

How often: Everyday plus some.
How 'Good': Let's just say I'm very good... I can basically master a game after picking up the controller and adjusting to it. (Like 10 min or more?) Also the fact that I have beaten most of the games I own.. (Let's say 90-94%?)

How many games you own: With all seriousness, around 300 all together.

How Long can you play a game before putting it down: Well, with Kingdom Hearts II (if you havn't read my thread already) I beat the game in 3 days. My longest time for a single day was 13 hours.. The only reason I went to bed that night was because I had to go to work in the morning.. Same as the day after that. So, if I didn't have to work either of those days, I would have beaten it in 2 days.

So yeah..lol

I just play when I feel like it...and that's it >_>; Once I get hooked on a game I play it a lot though! ...when I feel like it.

When I first got Dragon Quest VIII I loged in 18hrs the first day... I think that says enough =D When I have no work, all my friends are at work and I got jack to do, so normally just play games >.> So I would say a bit of hardcore gamer there >.>b It's in my blood xD My grandma was the first person in my family to beat Zelda, and my cousin is a game tester for Sony... So yeah, big time gamer :P

uhhh... I'd call myself a psyco. My friends call me the "Serial Gamer" due to the fact that I own a huge amount of games and am constantly on the verge on getting and playing more xD

I would probably have to say I'm a lapsed gamer to be honest. I barely play games anymore.

Over the past few years I've been buying and playing games less and less, unless something changes in me it won't be long till I give them up totally.

Time spent weekly: 10 hours or maybe less.
Games bought per year: Around 4-6 overall.

How 'Good' you are at gaming: Always select normal first time beating a game, then keep replaying it on harder modes
How many videogames you own: not many, 10-20 maybe
How long you can play a game for before putting it down: It depends, if I really want to I can play all night, go to school come home sleep for 2-3 hours, eat and then rinse and repeat.

I don't really consider myself a hardcore-gamer, but I'v had friends go,"your a hardcore-gamer dude".

How often you play: Varies, if I had a new comp. + the Xbox 360 + alot of new games I want, i'd prob. play daily if I could fit it in, on weekends or holidays, it CAN be several hours a day or close enough.
How 'Good' you are at gaming: Depends what type of game or really just what game. I usually select Normal or a easier level, but usually finish the game pretty easily, I will try a harder or Hard mode once I have finished. I guess i'd say average-above average, maybe like actually "good", depends what games or type.
How many video games you own: I dunno. Alot of the PC games I have or used to play were just copies ones or ones I got with images (.iso file or something) and eventually deleted them. Or y'know, ones I installed with a CD that wasn't mine then used a crack so I play with a CD.
How long you can play a game for before putting it down: Few-several hours, sometimes I can take my occasional "breaks" throughout. It does vary, what day it is, how much time I have to play, if I have anything on/to do, etc.

How often you play: Depends, if I like the game i'll play it until I need sleep every day o.o
How 'Good' you are at gaming: I always go with easy first, the games I play always different greatly from each other and I never read the instruction manual. If it's a fighting game, I will select Hard and breeze through =D
How many videogames you own: 50 + 3 PC Games
How long you can play a game for before putting it down: Depends how much I like the game, if I enjoy it alot and want to complete it I will play till I sleep

I wouldn't consider my self a hardcore-gamer, even if I play alot there are games I have weaknesses at just like everyone else no-one is good at every single game they are just being big-headed if they say that, we all got weaknesses. But if I was to be a big-headed I would say i'm a hardcore fighting gamer, i've entered loads of competitions and never been beaten o.o..so yeah Auron dont think you will beat me at DoA XD

Kaede: WELL I RARELY READ THE INSTUCTION MANUAL EITHER =P I only read it for like the other stuff: characters, enemies, whatever, etc. And I might read what the buttons are, well always actually xD. WELL..... WELL.... I'd so pwn you in any FPS game.... well.... YEAH I WOULD ACTUALLY =D

How good I am: I adjust and grow better and better start off on normal find it to easy then go to hardest for challange
How many Video Games I own: 50+ and 30+ PC games
How long I can play game: as long as it takes me to fall sleep

I would consider my self somewhat hard-core gamer but not complet but growing.

Im not sure but to me it depends if I really get in the game I would play all day everyday untill I beat it. If I become discouraged I just watch the game intros and listen to the songs and soon I start playing again like crazy. It also depends on the game like if its final fantasy Ill play none-stop until I beat it, because its FF I know its gonna be good but if its some crapy game no one's ever heard of I might stop playing after the first 2 weeks until I get into it again.

Okay before it was liek 0-3 hours a day (except weekends which was liek 5-9 hours), but since now i've got Easter Break (two weeks <3) i'll be playin' liek 2-10 hours a day, the reason why the minimum is so low is when I go out and stuff. Obviously I wouldn't have as much "playing-time" when I get back, which obv. varies.

I used to be a huge gamer. I went to foeums for about a half an hour, then play my DMC3, MGS3, or RE4 for like, about the rest of the day. But now, my mom took everything away from me, and since I got back into Yuragayho (Yugioh), I've been wasting my life deciding what deck to make next.
I'd say about somewhere between 5 - 10 hours I used to play.

Guess I'm "Ultra-Hardcore" by your definition. I played proffesional WC3 for a few years and playing Soldier of Fortune 2 for a few years now. SoFII is not too famous in progaming terms but as I'm really good at it I like it. The clan im in won several cups in ClanBase and I also played in my national team in the SoFII cups (reached 3rd place!).

Damn I guess your one of the really "hardcore" CS. I could just imagine your playing CS and owning all these people and saying "BOOM HEADSHOT" or "HAHAHA SILLY NUB" xD. And professional WC3? You mean liek in all those tournments with prizes and stuff? Damn O_o Yeah I tried SoF2 once, I forgot what it was like xD.

How long you can play a game for before putting it down: Depends on the game if its bad just 30 seconds is enough if its good ill play it till I finished the game, than a litlle more untill i get bored :P
