Any thoughts on the choices made for the English voice actors?

Cloud is Steve Burton, Tifa is Rachel Leigh Cook and Aerith is Mena Suvari.

I've heard how these three are in KH2, everyone's saying how great Cloud and Tifa's voices are, but Mena doesn't do a very good Aerith.

Personally, I disagree. I think Mena does a great Aerith, and Steve does a great Cloud. I'd rank Rachel's Tifa as "Good, but it doesn't feel QUITE right."

Follow these links to see the three in action in KH2...I couldn't find any of them in AC so this will have to do!

I think they all do a good job, so far from what i've heard. Tifa especially, it's who I imagined she would be..especially for this type of game. It just fits so well, into everything.

Hey, at the end of the tifa one, Donald and Mickey don't speak, they have mouth movements but no sound comes out! XD

Heh heh, I can't wait to hear Barret!

Rachel gives Tifa a bit of a real athelete sound. Personally I think her voice is cute, but as one of you mentioned, it does't feel quite right. For Steven Burton I have no objections. No comments on Mena's role.

A trailer has been brought online by Sony with English voice cast. It's a part of the scene at the promised land (if I'm correct) with all the kids.

The movie is in MPEG-4 format. Use VLC media player or another compatible player to see it.

I can't say I'm satisfied with Kadaj's English voice actor, but he is decent.

Here's the video on youtube that Zidane posted up about in MP4 format, so those of you without an MP4 player can view it:

Kadaj's voice doesnt quite sound right, it isnt much like the Japan voice actor...

i think the english voice acting sucks, aswell as the way they translated some of the dialouge.

Well i'm clearly in a minority then! Although Kadaj is very different to the Japenese version, I think this voice suits him better. Steve Burton is awesome as Cloud. It works really well. The dubbing is pretty good too. You can tell its dubbed form japanese if you're looking for it, but if you just want to enjoy the film you'll hardly notice.

Ordering from Play.com tonight, so hopefully it'll be at my doorstep next monday!

For some reason, I notice Dubs a lot, and I don't look for it. I think it's because I never watch dubs, I just watch subs, so I notice it anyway. Although I have to admit the AC preview is one of the best dubs I've seen!

You'll have to bring it to a movie night and we can all watch it in English (as we've done the Japanese version!)

Well they change some of the dialogue to make the liup synch better, so the English version will be very different from the Japenese version in terms of what they're saying.

Yeah, like when we watched the dub of Spirited Away with the direct translation subs on... Lukeman's response "Whoever made those subs should be shot!"

I don't think i'll mind if they change the dialogue too much, the preview section wasn't drastically changed, although there seemed to be more "eurgh!", "argh!" and "omph!" sounds! If they changed the majority of the story i'd get annoyed!
