Video Editor/Maker?

I'm looking for a basic, simple, nothing-to-fancy program that can well edit videos, compile them (as in put them together) and y'know maybe add a bit of music or something. I don't wanna go and make some big, nice film and become this pro or nothing, just my personal use for some basic things. Yeah, doesn't have to be anything too good and obv. i'm looking for a free download or something xP. Yeah, thanks to anyone who replies.

I don't suppose Windows Movie Maker is good enough? - you did say simple remember.

Although I can't say I have used the program much myself, so it might be terrible for all I know.

Windows movie maker is the only one I can think of, as it comes with XP

I use Sony Vegas 6 but it costs a ton, and takes a while to get the hang of... I'll have a look around for you!

Oh yeah... that's right there's Windows Movie Maker xD >< Never thought of that since obv. I never use it or touch or take much notice of it or anything really. Well okay then fair enough then, thanks (stupid me lol) anyways.

You can use iMovie which is a nice 'simple' program, although I'm not sure if its available to Windows (I used it on a Mac system). For a more proffesional (yet east-to-use) you can try Adobe Premiere (any version).
