My Sanctuary

Ew...That's the only word I can say that is not profained to this song.

I got sent the english version of Passion the other day and was so disappointed. I'd rather listen to the jap version with some engilsh bits, then the whole version of english. I thought it was ruined, I know it sounds the same as the jap version only in english but you don't get the same 'effect' from it, it doesn't sound right.

What do you guys think?

I like Passion a lot more than My Sanctuary. My main reason being is that the song itself is made up of long notes. I find it annoying in both Passion and My Sanctuary when she just goes: "aaaawaaaaaaaayaaaaaaaaa." It seems she has the tendency to make really awkward transitions from one note to the other. To me, it sounds a little sloppy.

Another thing, in Passion, it sounded like there was more to the song than just her. Something that somehow helps the Passion sound a lot more in depth, like voices accompanying hers, and thus giving it that ethereal effect. In My Sanctuary, it sounds like it's just her singing.

In the end, it sounds like a poor attempt at putting English lyrics together to the same tune, and it's probably because she came up short on words, or Utada has a bizzare taste in what sounds better and what doesn't. I think we can all agree when I say that the transition from Hikari to Simple and Clean was much better than this.

I liked Sanctury it good but not as good as Passion also liked here Simple and Clean in Jap. it was better in my opion I think Jap. versions of her Kingdom Hearts songs are much better than the american version they both have there benfits and disadvantages but to me it doesn't really matter but Jap. versions of here songs are bit better than english so go Jap. version of her songs.

hey Irrelevant I would play it also in Jap but since I don't understand single bit of it just perfer getting the music in Jap but when I finally learn Jap I will start playing there games all the time.

I think Sanctuary was good but not as much as Passion, it just didn't give the same feeling.

Yeah, so Passion was still out before My Sanctuary. So everyone heard Passion before they heard My Sanctuary, so really it still doesn't effect how bad My Sanctuary is compared to Passion? =/

I don't like either songs. I hardly like either games. But for some Passion has touched me... O_O

I don't like My Sanctuary since it's one of those kinda repetitive songs. "My sanctuary, my sanctuary, BLAH!!"

Passion is #1 in my book and my sanctuary is like 7 so passion to me is much better.

I also like the Japanese Passion more then the English My Sanctuary. But still it's a nice song, but not as good as the English version of Hikari called Simple and Clean.

Well this song is pretty good I will admit though I don't like it as much as Passion nor Simple and Clean. The song is a bit catchy to me, but it is a song that I can only listen to once, no repeating.

I hate My sancuary. It's just put together wrong. The way she sings it is so sloppy. Passion has much more emotion to it. I hate how she misses a little japanese line in the chorus as well.

Hmm.. I can understand on how some of the words are missing when it's in the English version, but to me, either one of them is good. I like them since I am a big Hikki fan. :D
