Best/ Worst storyline

which FF do you think had the best storyline and which did you think had the worst DESPITE how good or bad the gameplay was, this is stickly storyline wise.

to me, i think FF7 and FF8 had a great storyline and between those two, i'd pick FF7 over FF8.

Chrystal Chronicals was crap, i hated the story.

Best storyline imo was FF6 or 8, I loved both, I really liked 10's setting and ideas too though...tough one ><
However worst story is easy to pick - FF tactics Advance! xD Hero gets sucked in a fantasy world, and wants to get out of the world (when he's asked why, he says he doesn't know, either <.<)! ;x

Most FF's have a good story, but 7 was the best. It was just so deep and all round amazing... I loved it.

Worst for me would be FFX-2. I just felt it was a relativly short and easy story dragged out over however many hours of the game.

Still, here's hoping for FFXII! I've just got a feeling it's gonna be a really good story... Probably not as good as 7's, but good nonetheless.

Best storyline I like was from Final Fantasy VII (my favorite FF! :p).
Worst from Final Fantasy X-2 too. It's just mission after mission.

I didn't care too much for ff9's story, but it wasn't horrible like FFX-2's was.
Best FF story would have to be a tie between VII and X, leaning more towards VII though.

FF8 all the way! (First FF so meh :P ) I liked the characters better.

The worst is X-2, I didn't even try to play that game, I just watched my sister do all the stuff.:D

I liked FF 8 best beats FF 7 by lot.

I hated FF X-2 it had to many defaults and only get 3 char. through whole game. ;(

worst X-2(the sequel storyline ruined it) or IV(if only counting the proper FF games)

I gotta say Final Fantasy XII because of the unique storyline and Shakespeare jargon. I really liked tha cast and the story behind Balthier, Basch and Lady Ashe. It's really a Gaming Masterpiece (GamesMaster November 2006). Though I think X and VII are awesome too. I was like "oh my god" when Sephiroth stabbed Aerith. And I thought the X ending was somehow bittersweet.

As for the worst... nothing yet. All the Final Fantasy games were great (yes, including X-2, though I didn't appreciate the major makeovers on Yuna and Rikku)
