Not having much knowledge of Japanese, I'm going to have to guess at the title given the haiku's context. "Beautiful Bird"? Pretty sure haru mean's beautiful.
Are you looking at your katana again? :P
I don't think much of the poem, not something really to read dunno if I would classify it as a 'poem' but good nontheless.

Do you even know what a poem is?

Do you not see the beautiful imagery in haiku? Can you not see the way the syllable structure makes a unique pattern? This is as much poetry as anything done by Eliot or Wordsworth..

I'm relatively sure that it means something along the lines of 'early spring', actually, although I could be wrong.
