Does anyone heard about this remake of this game? Square Enix is remaking Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS which will use 3D graphics and the touchscreen feature. Hope the touchscreen will add some new features to the Final Fantasy game.

The game is still in production and will be released somewhere in 2006 in Japan.

I would very much like to get this part of the Series. The only problem I have is that I don't have a DS. I'll just wait and see if FF3 is worth buying a DS over, which im sure it will be. There goes all my money...:(

UPDATE: Final Fantasy III for the DS supports Wi-Fi

Square Enix has confirmed that FFIIIDS is going to include Wi-Fi, exact details are unknown.

Looks nice, kinda reminds me of the first beta screens of Final Fantasy VII (which was first going to be a sequal to VI).

I actually think this remake will be good as it will provide the US the story of FFIII as they never got to play on it originally(or they downloaded the rom), good on Square!:D

This is the Japanese Final Fantasy III which has never been released outside Japan. Not Final Fantasy VI, which was renamed to Final Fantasy III outside of Japan.

The US release is now set on November 14th. I would like the game, but buying a DS for only one game is kinda wrong. The movies I've seen on the official website looks awesome.

Yeah, I own the game and it really is fun! The main characters are Luneth, Arc, Ingus and Refia. I was like "O-M-G!!! THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!"
