I didn't know where else to post this so I figured why not in a new thread?

Here's the prob, I wish to learn to draw Manga but have no idea how to do it. Everytime I try to do it,it ends up as a mess. Could someone point me towards a good 'Teach yourself...' internet class or forum please or teach me themselves, any and all tips are welcome.

Google is your friend (http://www.howtodrawmanga.com/) :P

But seriously, I'm completely unable to draw anything, let alone manga. My advice would be to practice, practice, practice! Doodle faces, hair, whatever just whenever you get the opportunity. Eventually, you'll get the hang of doing things almost instinctively.

Perhaps try to draw things that you see. Open up one of your manga books, and try drawing someone inside. Sure, it might turn out rubbish at first, but keep at it and eventually you'll get the hang of it.

Anyway, I wish you luck with your endevour. You'll have to scan and post some of your work sometime ;)

Those How To draw manga books are great, I really suggest you try them =P I have one myself, Volume 2 I think it is, and it teaches how to draw the body in proportion as such, hands etc. Doing art in school also helps alot if your learning how to draw things in proportion, because thats the hardest bit ussually. :P

As Tsuji said, "How to draw manga" and "The art of drawing manga" are great, I've got a couple of both and they're really helpful and get you going. I bought a couple when I was over in America called "Anime and Game Characters", which go from really basic right the way through to professional level stuff... I think you can order them off Amazon too...
But yeah, just sit down and practise, I spent my lunchtimes in school sat in the library with my manga books open just doodling stuff... Start off by drawing individual things, such as hair, eyes, hands, etc, and then start piecing it all together. Copying artwork from books really helps, but don't rely on it too much, come up with your own ideas too... And that's all I can really think of. I'm a bit out of practice, you need to keep at it, I found that if I stopped for a while I regressed back, so just keep drawing and you'll greatly improve :)

oh buy the "how to draw mang" book series or join this site www.mangaacademy.com (http://www.mangaacademy.com), I'm a member and it's great though I've finished all the courses anyway... not too hard... but not easy.

Personally, one of my hobbies is drawing, especially Anime.. I never used a book, or went to Art school. Well I did take an Art class, but I only learned the values of shading.. It did help I must admit. But the best way is to practice. Start off drawing something simple, anything. Then keep doing it till your satisfied and move on. It takes a lot of time, and a lot of patience. Never throw away a crummy piece of artwork :P or rip it up.

I myself got a Manga Drawing Pack (http://www.nl.bol.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/nl/-/EUR/BOL_DisplayProductInformation-Start?BOL_OWNER_ID=1001004004735188&Section=BOOK) including a doll which can be put in different positions, making it easier to draw the body.
How to Draw Bishoujo (http://www.japanime.com/public_html/htdmshop/shop.php?mode=Books&item=4766111486) and other books from that range also help a lot.

Sure hope this helps :)
