I just got my Physx card yesterday and its pretty cool. I played the demo on it and it was sweet. Im looking forward to using it on city of villains. Has anybody else got one?
I just looked up a PhysX on my comp store's webpage, and 128 MB, is that really all it gives?
I mean my 7900GTX is 512MB, so I dunno how worth it it would be to shell out $395 for 128MB extra gfx memory...
Im def going to get one once they get beefed up some more, also SLIing another 7900GTX.

You're obviously completely missing the point of a PhysX card. They've got absolutely nothing to do with improving the graphics of a game. If you read the name carefully, it's a bit of a clue: Physics. A PhysX card simply takes the complicated physics calculations required in games and separates them from the main processor. They get their own processor and memory on the card, and the physics calculations can be done comepletely separately from the processor, allowing the processor to work on other important things, such as A.I and keeping it all running in sync.
As for actually getting one, I own a laptop (which is getting fairly dated now, as laptops do, in terms of playing games on it) so there is no chance of me getting one on mine. Give it four years, once I get the money for a desktop, I'm gonna get a completely customised gaming rig, complete with PhysX card and a terabyte of RAM! :D

Aye I read up on them afterwards, thanks for the summary :)
I wont be getting one until theres games that I want to play that supports it (read: Oblivion :p).

Heh, damn straight. There are, unfortunately, not very many games available which support it. But I really hope that the big games developers will start to adopt it for their new games. The one I'm most looking forward to is Unreal III/Unreal Tournament 2007. If only I had a beast powerful enough to play that...
Well the thing is buttspankingly new, I mean when I got my 7900GTX they wasn't even selling a PhysX, and there's already a good number of devs that have jumped on it.
As you mentioned Unreal, then CoV/CoH, and some others I read on CAD but can't remember atm.
Such a device is the future, and game devs for large games like the TES series and other major titles that would largely benefit from having PhysX support will jump on it.
/me waits for expansion of Oblivion with added PhysX support :)
