Buried in a BBC Business report, Nintendo Senior Managing Director, Yoshino Mori, has confirmed that the Nintendo Wii will retail for 25,000 yen in Japan, which would mean that the U.S. version would go for $250 or less."
Also, some stores are giving a slight release date for the Wii.
A date from a Canadian Toy's R Us was "Availability: This item will be released on (12/31/2006). You may order it now and we will ship it to you from Toysrus.ca when it arrives."
Wich I am sure might be a bit..off. But who knows.
And also about the internet thing (Like X-Box Live), here's a quote from another site:
"Yes, it's no charge to use it. However Nintendo said that all Nintendo-made games are free, but are not sure of the third party developers. In other words, they are going offer the free Wi-Fi to the first party games while it's up to third parties to decide." (This also means that SSBB will be Free online =D)
So basically free Internet use for most games, a CHEAP CHEAP price (Only 50 more than the Gamecube, and HALF that of the PS3) and the bad ass games that are coming out. Wii wins in one super punch.

It means I can get one of them easily, well, not easily but cheaply. Won't have to save much.
It's good news, but Wii hardly wins. It maybe cheap in price, but the games coming out for it aren't even going to half as good as what PS3/XBOX360 are going to have.

CoD only pwnz on the PC =P Uhhh... FF is going to be on the Wii? O_o I never really got into Splinter Cell, even though it is/was a good game - just too much patience and thinking and remembering lots of moves and shit required xD. FE is fun since i've played the the two US GBA ones, but yeah not like I HAVE to get it lol. And the rest i've never played (as in previous games), don't really like or just yeah, not games I really want =/

Smash brothers = one of the best multiplayer games around :P
Call of duty 2 was awesome, so I'm hoping 3 will be equally great
The ps3 version of that final fantasy game can't be better, because it's a revolution exclusive
Twilight princess will be the next instalment in the legendary Zelda series
Marvel ultimate alliance will be based on the same format as xmen legends, which was a great game
There isn't going to be a ps3 release of the new metroid game
Resident Evil isn't rubbish

Which I have no idea on how that is true concidering all that was different was a tweak of controls and some extra content..O_o So you can't really say that Sony is better than Nintendo on that...At all. XD

No, it isn't. It's probably the most interesting controller of the three consoles.

You can download and save old games for old platforms onto its internal memory - is that what you were thinking of?
Meh, there aren't any games that I really want on the Wii - some of which I can get elsewhere anyways (eg. Call of Duty 3, Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell) and i'll be getting other games for those other places too =P Yes the Wiimote thing is interesting, but I could very much see it as a pain in the ass for various games such as FPS games.

Revolution exclusive FF game does bugger all if it has the same quality as CC.
Disclaimer: I have not played this game myself, but like 90% of the fanbase says it is a dung of shi'ite.
I might get one at a later point, it would rawk so hard to play Oblivion style games with that thing, Ive always wanted to swing the sword myself XD
Final Fantasy CC took Final Fantasy in a different dirrection.
Some people just didn't get it, so they labled it as being stupid, which was stupid for them to do.
Most people say it has no storyline so it sucks...But it does. The only thing wrong with it though is that about 96% of the storyline is at the very end of the game.
It was weird how they made it look like a survival game (Where you have to get the water or the plasma st00f would eat you alive and you'd die n' st00f) and then at the final boss you have to save the universe.
Multiplayer Final Fantasy brought a bit of a twist too.
I agree though, if they made a Final Fantasy, lets say like 10, and turned that into a multiplayer game (For the computer) That would be good.
Like where 4 or so friends can connect to eachother and play through the story, and if someone runs into a monster, they can run into the battle and help them. (Turn based battles)
Don't ask me how I went from Nintendo owning with the Wii to a Multiplayer FFX... My brain just works strangly.

Well...to me it just looks like a box with a portable controller. I'll probably not waste money buying any next generation consoles. I'd prefer buying clothes...but yeah. The Wii (aswell as having a stupid name) is bount to find fans somewhere.

Which IMO, the Wii has less of (that I want) compared to the other consoles (which have several games I know I want, especially the Xbox 360 and also it generally has games of the genres I like), though no doubt there are a few games that i'd probably really enjoy - some that would be fun but not like I have to get it or anything.
Yeah okay the tennis thing is somewhat cool, but again - not something that will make me really want the Wii. Metroid Prime 3, Red Steel, Zelda, One Piece (sort of) and do look really cool, but again - there's more 360 games I want badly and know i'll enjoy or have tried out a bit. Though now my opinon of the Wii has gone up with those links =P Damnit, I wanna get all three of them - why can't money grow on trees =D (In some sense it does, since leaves grow on trees and we use leaves to make paper. Then paper is used to make notes, or something like that lol).

As I'm sure I've said elsewhere and at other times, it's cheaper to buy both an xbox 360 and a wii together than it'll be to buy the ps3.
You know that in the UK, it's gonna wind up costing about $730? Hell of a lot more than the $599 that the yanks're paying.
But pounds are worth more than Yank dollars o_o That's just a bit fudged up there..... Well if the Xbox 360 is $400 in the US, then it'd be $600 here, not sure what it comes with though - i've only seen ads with special package deals at around $800 or $900 (with games, extra products (eg. Play and Charge Kit, another wireless controller, wahtever) and wahtnot). And how much is the Wii in Yank dollars? (lol Yank Dollars.....)

So rougly around $900 dollars if I were to get the Xbox 360 and Wii, which rougly is the price a PS3 will be over here. Of course, they might not really take much notice of the currency exchange rate - maybe buff it up a bit more lol. Yeah our prices of stuff changed, since the Australia Dollar has increased in value, before it was like 1 USD = 2 AUD, but now it's like 1 USD = 1.5 USD, but stuff is still at the same price. Games on release are still $100 (well you know, the more popular ones).

Also, the first PS2's here cost $1,120 (roughly translated). An old mate of mine got one to have it ready for FFX. When I got it I got it + FFX for $370.

It's not the price so much as the fact that the ps3 will cost $200 more over here than it will in yanksville.
That, and the fact that I don't HAVE £425 to spare for a console. I have rent and bills to pay, and a powerful need to eat occasionally.

so depending on how much youre willing to spend it might take a few months to get all three if you're yank like me.but you can get a 60gb ps3 for the price of a 20gb model.

No, Square-enix knows where they are gonig to make money. They won't ever do a full migration as not enough of their fans will have a Nintendo. Square-enix are even moving to the xbox, does that mean the xbox is a good system? o.O
Yes, yes it does Mirae xD. But if you had mentioned a different console, I probably would of went with the right answer which is no. There are two aspects of a good system: The features of the system itself and it's specs and the games that are playable on it. From what I can see, every system has highs in both of these two aspects IMO, but again i'm going with the Xbox 360.

hm luckily I dont think I will have to worry about my console getting hit with a sledgehammer. If it can withstand a good punch and being chucked at the wall then I am happy with the durability of it.
