Most of my friends are saying FFXII will suck because it will be so different to other FFs but isnt FFX completely different to FFVII I replied with, and then they started trash talking FFXII, I was like you haven't(edited "Have" to "Havent") played it!
So are you guys/gals looking forward to this game or not?

I'm quite looking forward to it, the new battle-system doesn't look that good in my eyes though.

Final Fantasy XII is #1 on my wanted games list. The new battle system looks nice. No more random encounters anymore. Not that I hated that.
Still have to wait for a while. Think it will be available here begin 2007.

lookingg at the reviews and the gameplay videos it makes me want to get the game even more
PSM just gave it a 9.5 and Game of the Month (Possibly the US PSM if they have it...I don;t remember seeing that review in the UK one.)
It looks fantastic. Personally I think FFVIII is the best game ever, but I'm hoping against hope FFXIII knocks it to the ground! The battle system looks amazing, and the voice acting is really good as well I feel.

To be honest I'm not really excited. Maybe not yet... I don't know... I'll probably buy it, though. :P

At the Gamestop I work at, just two days ago we got a huge shipment in from Square-Enix of just the collector's edition case, the steel book case. And I went around and lined them all up on the counter. Just looking at the case and the pics inside has made me want to play it even more... I love the artistic drive this game will be taking. We have this huge FFXII poster up in our store too, and every time I look at it, I think about it more. :P
Anyone else been to any Gamestops that have the FFXII cases lined up or anything to hype up the game some more?

One of the few Final Fantasys to complete. I must get this in order to claim my rule! I also need to get Final Fantasy III NDS version to claim it...hurry up Square Enix and give me a challenge. The music to Final Fantasy XII rules. Go to bluelaguna.net and download some songs. I would recommend you get 'Esper' because it is an awesome song.

This final Fantasy looks much Vagrant Story(PS1)
But is awesome!I really liked it,i play every day, there is much thing to do in the game.,...
There are much secrets, recomended for Hardcore fans!(like me,hehehe)
I'll be ordering up a copy come the end of the month. EB usually has rather harsh verification if you are ordering internationally to Australia (or anywhere, really.) but I tend to have other sources I can rely on. If worse comes to worse, I'll just pick up FFXII via Ebay. Apparently lots of leaked copies were released a while back, but I'll stick with the legal edition. http://animebell.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif
I played the Japanese release a long time ago for hours, but it gets pretty mundane when you don't follow the story and just progress semi-aimlessly. I actually don't mind the new battle system. Things have to change eventually, so I can deal with it. Anyhow, it's nowhere near as fun as simply waiting for the English release. Bah, I feel sorry for fellow PAL gamers who will have a much longer waiting period to ensnare a copy of Final Fantasy XII (and some poor bastards are still awaiting Suikoden V...) but that's their tough luck.
Indeed, I'm 'mildly' looking forward to this game. Life will go on if I don't get much time to play it when my copy arrives, but I digress. ;)

Its still a week and then Final Fantasy XII will be released in the United States! I ain't gonna download the game, since that is not what a true Final Fantasy fan have to do. And besides I have a original PS2 with legal games.
Well, I can wait till early 2007. I have a lot of games to play still. Hope it will be January and not March.
FFXII feels too much like the unwanted result of a one-night-stand between FF's X and XI. If I wanted real-time battles where I really only control one person, I'd go action-RPG (read: hack'n'slash' with RPG elements) or MMO. The gambit system is nothing more than telling your characters what you'd expect your online raid group to do in a given situation.
Yeuch! While I don't think predictability or ease is good, I'd rather the uncertainty of battles reside in game mechanics than crummy AI controls.
Played it have you? The Jap version? Or just the demo?
I'm not gonna argue with your opinion but if you've just played the demo (or havnt at all), then dont write it off. From what I've heard the game is far more tactically advanced than expected. Personally from what I've seen and read the Gambit system is a stroke of genius.
Can't believe EU has to wait till 2007.

I dont like it that much except for the storyboard and the battle system.
Well, finally got the chance to play this game since Tsuji sucks and hasn't touched it for more than 5 mins so I decided to pick it up =D
I like it so far. The accents are...very English o__o
Not too big a fan of the story telling (You know, where the dude narrates with a bunch of text and a book in the background) but I like everything else, so no complaints.
I like the hunts, great thing to do while bored.

Well, I see where you're coming from. But there's a few things that make me greatly prefer this over MMO's;
-No lag, no disconnection crap
-No RMT stealing your stuff
-No jackasses or idiots or DRAAAAMA LLAAAAMA over loot xD
-The entire game isn't only about building your character unlike, say FFXI (Ya, some people play for the story, like for CoP, but everything's a grind with needing a group for everything, and in the end the rewards are...things to build your character further? lol)
-PENELO
Now, Imma go back to FFXII!
