What were your views on the sphere grid? I liked it but I didn't like how long the turtorial was. And I didnt like how you could ive a character abilities they shouldnt have.

I thought the Sphere Grid was one of the best ideas they've ever implemented really. I think it would be boring if characters could just learn their own abilities, cause like, you know...customising your characters to whatever extent you want just rocks.
I like it better than having to level mindlessly and seeing those level numbers shoot up...:P

Completely agree.

Cause think about it, I find it great that you could make your characters have abilities which they aren't meant to have o.o Mirae's post is basicly what I think about as well, Sphere Grid was feckin' flawless :p

It was good, but I think characters should of had different skill grids..because it doesnt give any character any uniqueness it's like..."why use lulu, i can use Tidus?"

I totally agree with Mirae too :p
I really like the system and learning everything takes ages.

Lol, I finished everything with some characters and moved on to other sphere grids. I had Tidus using Holy. haha... It wasnt near as strong as yunas though.

Is it just me, or did the sphere grid take long as well? Correction: reeeeeeealy long.

I like getting the characters to learn simply anything rather than having them learn what they're supposed to...maybe with the exception of Lulu, Yuna, Auron and Wakka who's abilities are extremely useful. Tidus, Rikku and Kimahri are all good to learn just about anything because their abilities are quite literally crap lol. I had Tidus using Holy too and it was pathetic ha ha.

It gave more control over what you wanted your character to do, but for most part i just followed each characters grid until they ran out. I went the boring way ^^

The only thing that bothers me is the key spheres.
And where the hell should I put Rikku!? o_O, she ended up getting curaga before Yuna, but that was Rikku's first WHM spell

How the hell'd you achieve that Grae? lol. Yuna has always got that first this end.

This is simple..

Naturaly, Lulu already has more Intelligence, or whatever FFX has for Magic damage. So unless if your Tidus has more INT (Look in status, compair your characters) You will see who would do the most damage with Black Magic and such.

My Lulu and Walka are super low in the Sphere Grid though >_> I never really used Magic in FFX unless if I needed to heal, which was with Yuna.

So it all depends on the characters stats o.o

I think they should have used the same 'leveling/advancement' system that they did in FFX-2 dunno why I just found it so much more simpler than the sphere grid which I was always either running out of the spheres i needed or forgetting completly about lol

I loved the phere grid, especially how you could give characters different abilities. On my first game, I had Auron learn most of Tidus and Wakka's abilities, which helped a lot at the end. Rikku learned all of Yuna's white magic as well.

Well I prefer the basic level up system that FF has always used but I did enjoy the Sphere Grid, it was somewhat different and was a bit more tactical but not too much.

i like it, though its not what i like the most i prefer some other sistems like the one in dragon quest 8 that ya chose weapon and the give points to any wapon skill ya want when ya lvl up, but its nice though, pretty new...fair

i thought the sphere grid was brilliant i like the way you could customise the players abilities to mix with the black magic and white magic!!

I think the sphere grid system is sooo much better than any other upgrading system in the ff series... too bad x-2 didn't use the same system, but i'm hoping that square-enix reads forums, then they will know that sphere grid is the way to go! ;)

I thought it was a great idea. Unless you're not quick at picking things up, I think the idea is easily learned in around five minutes or so of experimenting. The Sphere Grid was certainly interesting, and actually added an extra measure of fun to the game in my opinion. Though, I did enjoy the simplicity of the system which was used in Final Fantasy IX, but they're both pretty damn good.

It's easily exploited, but most people tend to want to play through the game fairly before engaging in any practise that may be viewed as 'cheating'. :) Definitely one of Final Fantasy X's fine points...

i really like the sphere but i rather the normal FF leveling
although the grid is more tactical which is good and u can choose what abilities to give each character
