Mind and form, flowers
bloom in the midst of battle;
shin and myo as one
This one will need a bit of explanation:
When describing the internal spirit (shin) and its external effects (myo), Yagyu Munenori once wrote 'Because shin is placed in the seat of the Mysterious Sword, various myo are manifested in the hands and feet, and flowers are made to bloom in the midst of battle'
Shin is what exists within, while myo exists without. The example he gives in his book is that a tree grows branches and leaves because it contains shin, and the branches and leaves are the myo. If you break the branches and cut down the tree, you can see nothing that you can call 'shin', but you know it's there by the myo manifested outside. When you move your hands or your sword, the shin inside you causes the movement, and the movement is myo.
Oh, and the title is actually 'hiden' - I haven't typo'ed 'hidden'
