Falling without sound;
The flower scatters, petals
Drifting on the wind

Another haiku inspired by poetry in the art of swordplay. The Shinkage-ryu's written teachings contain the poem:
'A flower, scattering, falls without sound on the moss.
A flower, scattering, can be heard in the depths of this mountain'
It describes the moment of utter stillness that serious martial artists strive for, where they could hear a single flower fall on moss. To attain such a state means that the Way to mastery is one step shorter.
