Or whatever online ordering site you can use if you can't get it in any shops - just gotta make sure they can deliver to wherever you live.

Probably the best place to buy it from would be online (depending on where you live of course) what you'll be wanting is the game - Final Fantasy XI, and the two expansion packs, Rise of Zilart and Chains of Promanthia [spelling?] - these are the two expansion packs that have been out the longest and trust me, you won't be able to enjoy the game as much without them, they usually come with FFXI now-a-days. When I bought FFXI a while ago it cost me £26 or so including both RoZ and CoP.

If you decide to buy the expansion packs seperately then you'll need to make sure they're from the same region (Japanese, American or European) or else they won't install properly.

There's a third expansion pack as well, Treasures of Aht Urghan, that only came out within the past 2 months, it's not a necessity if you can't get it, it is nice though, very pretty, very good for higher level experience (around lvl 55+ (75 is the cap in the game at the moment)).


Payment~
The basic sum is around US$12/month, regardless of the exchange rate (as far as I know, so around £7) Most people pay via credit card, where you input your card details into POL (PlayOnline, the application that comes with FFXI) and the monthly charges are automatiaclly deducted from your bank account, if for some reason the money is unable to be withdrawn then the FFXI account will be tempererily disabled until card details are restored.

However, if you don't have access to a credit card either of your own or a parents or something, then there's something called ePassporte which I believe Zidane007nl uses (not entirely sure, could always PM him to find out more info) Which basically creates an online credit card that you can put money in from an alternate source, check it out here;

If you're gonna use epassporte, be sure to have the right bank details. Otherwise your money is gone, which happened to me.
