This is like the fifth e-mail I've gotten like this in July. It's from a @gmail.com address. I'm trying to find out what this "Who's where" directory is. Anyone gotten any e-mails like this? Anyone have any details on what this is?

Might happen if your e-mail address has been posted *anywhere* on the internet recently, some people employ (in a loose term) bots which scour the internet for any terms and register writing before and after an @ sign, i.e name@something.com. I'm betting you already knew that though, that was just general stuff.

After googling "Who where directory" Lycos came up with their site,

something to do with searching for peoples names/addresses or something, though if you don't have anything to do with Lycos I can't understand where it's coming from.

Yeah but it's come from five different e-mail addresses lol

The one I posted here was from like tani83@gmail.com or something. And, I haven't done anything with Lycos. I used to use their web hosting services a few years ago just to host my sigs when I first started coming to HHN. I don't think I used this email address though.

I think it's about time I sign up for a new email address. XD

PS: It got by my spam filters and everything, so I don't know what happened there either.

Dude......I dunno Y but things like that allllllways freak me out....I guess I just scare easy...If I was in your placve I would get a new e-mail address....So much can be found out about you over the internet.....*shiver* it so cool...but can be kinda creepy...teehee!:rolleyes:

spam.... *shivers* i use my new gmail account for all my good stuff (I even included this site with it) and my hotmail email for the less important stuff. Ive had my hotmail account for about 8 years so i swear im going to be gone for 2-3 weeks and come back to 400 emails 370 of them spam. I average about 5 spam and 1 non spam a day.... i know its crazy!
