MUDs

Does anyone here play any MUDs online? I've currently been playing Discworld MUD with gareth (although he's been playing much longer than me and could quite easily kick my ass :P) Just wondering what other people's experiences of them are.

For those who don't know what MUDs are - MUDs are online text based games (Basically an MMORPG without the graphics). You can always wiki MUDs if you want to know more.

I'm co-writing one, actually. It's called Cold Era and will be a post-apocalyptic world of corporate feudalism, radioactive wastelands and heavy metal. Well, not huge amounts of heavy metal, but as much as I can sneak past the owner of the project :P

Ah when i had heard nothing about it from you, for some time, i thought it must have been cancelled or just given up on. Whats the percentage of completion and ill help with some playtesting if you need it since i have loads of free time on my hands this summer ;) :P

Whats the percentage of completion

One very small playable area :P Lots of small non-playable areas not connected to each other. Probably about 0.00001% complete. Since there's only really 3 of us working on it, and we can never get together at the same time, and we're still ironing kinks out of the actual code, the building of areas is secondary.
We're hiring people who know the language LPC and have experience with coding or building MUD games, as well as people who are skilled in creative writing who are willing to learn.
