Alright, so I've been hearing a lot about this manga. For those of you that don't know, it's by the same guy that did Ikkitousen/Battle Vixens...Battle Club is his latest work.
Let me start by saying that I liked Ikkitousen's story, art, and a few characters, but I never found the manga worth buying simply because (imo) it was so oversexed that it put me off >.> Not only that, but the cussing in it was very unnatural and occurred every freaking page (I don't care about cussing, but putting a cuss word in every normal sentence is imo just childish, out of place, and wanna-be).
And I was wondering, is Battle Club the same or did the dude learn from his mistakes in Ikkitousen? Since there's no way to rent manga where I live :P, I was wondering if anyone could tell me about that xD

This sounds pretty awesome. I should buy some now! I'm still waiting for the last volumes of battle vixens to be available over here though :(

Just read volume one...first impression? Meh. It's okay. Battle Vixens/Ikkitousen had character development and a really interesting story (at least I liked it o_o), but Battle Club...doesn't seem to have any.
It's basically a guy that wants to make a name for himself in the school, but ends up only being embarassed (won't spoil too much >.>). Runs into a girl and she tackles him, he's impressed, he finds out she's in the Wrestling club, he joins the wrestling club. The rest is just basically club rivalry (with of course fights galore) and basic char introduction, that's it really. Not much storywise so far. Also the sexual tones are in fact worse than in Battle Vixens, there's even a crossdresser char in there that looks like a girl (boobs, overall womanly body and whatnot). >_>
Worth checking out if all you wanna see is ecchi and fighting =/, but Ikkitousen was way better than this (at least from what I can tell by the first volume).
