Favourite Square-Enix Game(no FF or KH games)

Aside the Final Fantasy series and the Kingdom Hearts series, I would say Vagrant Story is thee best SE game, I loved the difficulty it offered and really made me feel like I'd done something hard when I finished it and felt good. The battle system was very good, the way you could hit an enemy in different areas made the game more strategic and was a nice change to the usual RPG battle systems. Great game.

I like Dragon Quest VIII cause it was only new game I got and I liked battle system and also sweet techs and spells good try something new instead of FF.

I think it will be Dragon Quest VIII though. I like Dragon Quest VIII more than Vagrant Story, because of the cool looking characters and the humor the game have. And it really plays like how a classic RPG should be.

I enjoyed playing Dragon Quest but it got boring for me personally, I love Vagrant Story as it made me want to play more and more of the game.

I'll have to say Fire Emblem, it's got role playing and all that other good stuff. Of the three I have I'll have to say I liked Fire Emblem Path of Radience, the first one wasn't as amazing, sacred stones was good aswell but the laguz in Path of Radience made it all worth while.I love Soren, he's an amazing character!!!

That would have to be a definite Bahamut Lagoon for me, with Star Ocean coming in as a close second. It takes the best out of many other Squaresoft games and melds them all together. Never before have I seen such a fine game that has both Tactical/Strategic elements in the battles, as well as a turn-based system all in one. That's about as 'short and sweet' as I can make it without writing out a few pages worth of detailed info on each game.

Dragon Quest VIII takes me back to some of my RPG roots. Its 2D-ness is awesome, because it allows you to focus on bold colours and great character design. First-person battles make it feel like ye olde adventuring game, which is definitely cool. One of its best traits is its difficulty. I died so, so quickly at that first boss, so I started a new game and grinded. The final "secret" boss trials are fun and challenging.

I'd say DQ8's most prominent con is the way it starts without much backstory. It fills you in as you go, but that's the worst thing I can say about it.

What's really awesome is that it doesn't begin you off with the knowledge, or even inkling, that you're destined for greatness or anything more than the only person not transmogrified.

Well, I like DQ8, Chrono trigger AND Chrono Cross, the Front mission games are OK, but the jewel of the bunch IMO, is Star Ocean 3:Till The End of Time

well besides KH and final fantasy i love Dragon Quest VIII. when i first saw it i thought it would be stupid because of the way it looked but when i played it and went more into the story..MAN..was i wrong!

mine would have to be Chrono Trigger, just because the story of time travel is so awesome on there. Magus is one of the coolest optional characters in any video game, and Lavos is an unforgiving final boss. The characters are great, and the soundtrack is somthing to remember. Aside from that game, yeah I would say Star Ocean 2 is probably my second favorite.

Again the Characters are awesome. My favorite part is the item system. The cooking, alchamy, blacksmiting....its all awesome. Very in depth, and hundreds of items. The Real Time Events are fun, and when the planet is destroyed and everybody but your team dies....its so heart wrenching.

Those would have to be my favorite.

for me i have to say star ocean til the end of time. i like this gam because its chalanging and fun and i like the story it was really great... i would recomend it to any one

serious note Valkyrie profile:lenneth was great and fun but unconvering the other and more entertaining storyline was annoying to uncover and very annoying to try to get it and the game is repetitive with the dungeons and some dungeons are gay and outrageously hard for no reason seriously level 20 and taking 13,444damage is not nice.
