Anybody else think the good ol' FF I II or III pwn? I played those so many times and not the new improved versions either I played the emulator versions of the old ones. Then again I guess I shouldn't be talking I play games sometimes on my dads atari 400... ;)

they are pretty good although i do only play the improved PS onesso i guess i am not hard core :-), always good to travel back to the roots to see how it began

i have played ff6 which is the same as ff3 but i played it on the ps one.

I have finished every Final Fantasy 1 - 10-2 and the ones i loved most were FF1, 2 and 3 because of the originality behind it. I prefer the GBA version of 1 and 2 because of the speed but the original ones will always be the challenging ones.

actually dark sephiroth FF6 isn't FF3 ppl thought is was but actually japan didn't want to release FF3 outside of japan so it was never released in europe or america now they are going to release FF3 on the NDS

I have a few on my old NES collection, yes i said nes heh, but they are fun games, they are all packedup now but fun times indeed.

I'm only playing Final Fantasy VI at the moment. Almost finished it. Great game.
I just got Final Fantasy Anthology European Edition (Final Fantasy IV and V) and I might start with V after I've finished XII and VI.
I also gonna get Final Fantasy Origins soon. I prefer the remakes then the original titles (especially I to III).

I've got FF's I-V on my Gameboy and DS XD

and i've gotta say, some of them are alot better than the newer FF's, especially FF IV and V, such amazing storylines and characters.

and FF I was just a classic game, the way the story just ... didn't happen XD it's so cool.

I played the original III on a NES emulator some time ago...it was so funny xD

"Oh, you must be the four chosen ones! You have the power of the crystals and must go save the world!"

and that pretty much defines the story.

Final Fantasy V and VI were great though, I liked them better than XII and X-2.

I bought Final Fantasy VI a while ago.... thats about it - how cool am I? :P I never got round to finishing it actually.... Hmmm this thread has reminded me that I'll have to take time from my very busy schedule to get round to completing it even if ive forgotten the story line completely lol

when it comes down to it, i prefer the newer FF's to the older ones. however, at the same time, FFIV FFV and FFVI are just as great, only in a different, more simplistic way. in the argument of old vs. new, i can't decide, because i like them both for different reasons.
