My RPG Project

I'm working on my RPG for almost 4 years now. I never completed it, because I was having trouble with the story and I have HHN of course. Now I'm thinking about continuing making the game and maybe release a demo of it soon.

The name of the RPG is currently unknown. It was previously known as Legend of Fantasy Quest, but I dropped it, cause it sounds rubbish. The game is made with RPG Maker 2003. I ain't converting it to RPG Maker XP, cause I already made a lot of maps and I like the battle system of RPG Maker 2003 more.

You play as Theodor, the hero who is an expert in swords. On one day a good girl friend of him get kidnapped by an evil man, because of her magical powers. You set on a journey to get her back.

Well i liked the name but it was kind of long how about you shorten it down to
Fantasy Quest and i think the storyline is perfect at the point its at. I like the expert with swords part thats cool.

I would like to see some pictures, but if anyone knows where i can play i RPG MAKER made RPG game because i never played one. I mean everyone in here talks about games they made but neve post one up. ( soy if im a bit off topic couldnt find somewhere else to post this)

I've attached some new screenshots of my project. Maybe I'll work on the project more now, since I quit Final Fantasy XI. But still I have HHN to maintain and soon also another website.

I don't use any of the RPG Makers myself, but I have a mate who is pretty damn skilled and obsessed with the thing. If you want any decent input or advice you should check out RMXP Underground or Creation Asylum. They are both pretty large communities and have some good resources. I'd sign up myself but I've got no interest in learning the thing; which would probably take up a lot of my time since I have been told it is very easy to become hooked. I'm more of a writer though, so assisting with scripts and the general story is something I've helped people with before. Good luck on your own project though, as it is very easy to get side-tracked and end up ditching the thing... I like the look of those screenshots though.

I think I'll make it without getting help on those forums. I understand how RPG Maker 2003 work and I'm not gonna do much coding, like making common events. Think it's too late for that too...

I'll put the demo online when its done (which still is unknown).
Just search at Google for RPG Maker download or something like that, that should bring some sites having it available for download.

It's just some common events I've added with some help of tutorials. I won't change the system.

No, you don't need to insert codes. You have to make new events and there you can make a selection what you want the event to do (like play a music, enter text, put a switch on, etc.).

I don't have or use RPG Maker XP, since you need to buy it. I don't intend to use it, since I think I won't use it much. You should find some illegal versions via Google though.

its kinda hard getting used to it but i want to lnow how to make hoses and stuff you...so do you know any sites hat teach you or better yet how did you learn to use it.....?????....

Lately I have worked a little while on my project again after a long time of not doing it. I made some fixes in grammar, since my English has improved a lot in 4 years. :P
I'm beginning to start interested in it again, so I might work on it more when I don't have exams anymore.
