What do you think, will square-enix go back to Nintendo, will the go back to Sony after their steps on nintendo terrain or will they just create for nintendo handheld and their spinoffs on nintendo and the main series on sony???
Square-enix arent stupid, they wont go fully out to Nintendo. They know their best bet is with sony, Nintentdo maybe good in your eyes or even great and some other peoples, but looking at it profit-wise, it's sony.
I reckon square-enix will make random games like they did last time for gamecube, but I dunno. They might make it so their games come out on all platforms.
You have to think of it, logically not just with personal opinion, everyone is always biased.

I'd like to see the new FF games coming out on wii or gamecube so that I can play them, since I won't be getting a ps3 for several more years.
They will probably spread out, I already heard that there will be some non-spinoff FF games for 360 I think, beyond FFXI.
I hope they stick to Sony, the FF series is good to use to crush the 360 and Weewee fanbois :D

Nah, I don't think Square Enix will go fully back to Nintendo. And I can't expect how a Final Fantasy game on the Wii should look like. It will just be some less important titles and mostly the main titles on PS3. They are even making a game for the Xbox 360 called Project Sylpheed, which will hit the stores in Japan on the 28th. It will not be a RPG though, but a flight-space-shooter.

i agree with zid with the wii, I think the spinoffs should be on the nintendo not the original and main titles.
square will most definetly put the spinoffs on the nintendo wii although it will be cool playing ff on a next gen console.
Right now I think they shoudl stick to Sony...but keep remaking those older games for nintendo on GBA

They started on Nintendo so naturally, they will return every now and then but won't make a perminant change back to the falling giant of console gaming.
thet would be that odd game for the nintendo but they will stay with sony and and make the finalfantasy debut on the ps3 like they did the ps2
I'd like to think, yeah, square enix is sooo going nintendo, because the Wii is cheaper and affordable. And I soo can't get a ps3 at the current estimate. T_T
But odds are, regardless of the ridiculous retail price of the ps3, the costly blue ray game disks, and the not-so-spectacular yet still quite entertaining E3 demonstration of the ps3, that Square-Enix will still stick with sony to the bitter end.
Well, who's up for downloading Final Fantasy 1, 2, and 4 on the Wii? ^^
Well I dont think you can expect FFXIII On The Wii, but, i do think that SE will definately be looking into Nintendo's new console, as a lot of third party publishers already are.

i don't think you can download any final fantasy on the wii and that's because of the following reason:
they're recreating all early FF's for the GBA... except for FFIII because that's gonna be on the DS

I for one, certainly hope Square-Enix do go Nintendo. I've been a Nintendo fan all my life...it's the first console I got. The original NES...and well Square-Enix and Nintendo are both very good Japanese Games Companies. I'm aware Sony is Japanese, but Nintendo has a better expertise in making outstanding characters and scenarios and with Square-Enix on their side, imagine what they could achieve.

I just got this month's Game Informer magazine today and in it I read briefly that Square-Enix is gonna work with Nintendo and Microsoft in the future. Didn't go to much into detail but I vote Other for this reason :D
alright my views only very bad spinoffs will go to wii but i think after these next to remakes for the gba and the ds its all sony from then on it will be ps3 and psp owning up all of squares good games but there will probably be another bad ff:cc for the nintendo (****ing pot carrying sucked ass in the game). and the occaisonal square enix reject game ideas will also be there for nintendo. plus knowing square's money grubbing selves (seriously five ff13 and abunch of new ff7 stuff plus that stupid ff:cc gba connecor cables to play multi) they'll stick with sony till sony ****s up bad and then they'll switch to microsoft but they'll only wade in shallow waters for nintendo.

well... from what I know, Square-Enix was good partners with Nintendo at one time. Square and Enix were (Square and Enix were rivals at one point in time) both on the Nintendo Entertainment System then the Super Nintendo System and then the Playstation. But Square-Enix is still good partners with Nintendo so they would rather support the Nintendo DS then the Sony PSP, plus its not like they don't already have anough PS2 games? :P - Thats all I know.
I think they're going to Nitendo
I believe it would be in Square-Enix's best interest to remain on Sony, with spin-offs on the Nintendo DS (no Wii, please).

Square-Enix isn't changing platforms "per-say", but I do believe the Dragon Quest franchise will be moving towards Nintendo Territory. There are already a couple of games from the series on the Nintendo DS, and a few remakes coming very soon. There is also Swords for the Nintendo Wii, but all we really can do is hope for the best, whether changes are made or not.
There was a Subsidiary transfer not too long ago. A new set of variables, perhaps?

I voted other. From what squenix has said and what i think, my guess would be that the main series will remain with sony, while some spinoffs (such as Fabula Nova Crystalis and FF7 compalation) will end up with microsoft or nintendo. and of course, nintendo will get those odd little games that make use of touch screens and movement controllers.

why would they move to sony as they are releasing final fantasy XIII and final fantasy versus XIII on the ps3. if square do move fully to Nintendo (which i hope doesn't happen) will happen in 2009 or after.

Well....they may be making FFXII (and about 4 of them....) for the ps3, but there's nothing to say they wont continue releasing stuff for nintendo consoles. Since they are making FFXII for the DS.
In my oppinion though, they'll stick with Sony as their no-1 for FF games, but they'll be making LOADS of other FF games, side-story or other for nintendo and maybe even microsoft consoles.
We have reached the next generation of gaming, and the possibility of Square-enix expanding further is quite likely.
Square Enix will go to Nintendo in the sense that they'll go where their market is. They will make some games for the Wii, to see if they can make a game that appeals to the Wii audience - much more casual overall then the other 2 consoles.
But unless Nintendo change their focus, all the main console titles will remain on Sony or Microsoft. Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, for example, will be on a Sony/MS console unless Nintendo chane their targe taudience again next generation.
Of course this doesn't include handhelds, as the DS is the perfect candidate to cater for both the casual and the hardcore. My mum plays Brain Training whilst I open up Final Fantasy IV or Zelda: PH. (For the record - I wouldnt touch Zelda really!!).
Home consoles though? Nintendo will not get anything of significance from SE this generation.

i think that mainly the spinoffs and the FF games that sony might not want will go to nintendo while the true games will go for sony and possibly some for microsoft, who knows
