Use this thread as an all-purpose, general topic for any and all Fire Emblem games. I don't know if there are too many fans of the games here, but it's usually a safe bet to assume that a 'global' thread for an old series of games can tend to be a good investment.) Here you can discuss basically anything about the existing Fire Emblem games. As it stands, there are nine of them. The latest one graced us all on the Gamecube, known as the Path of Radiance, which was a nice touch after all the previous ones being on the GBA, and other lesser Nintendo consoles.
Why do I like the Fire Emblem series? Well, I am a really big fan of fantasy TRPGs for their strategic elements. I rate the later Fire Emblem games as fantastic. I have played the earlier releases which are on the Nes/Nintendo and Super Nintendo respectively, but they can’t compare, at least in my opinion. Namely, I got into the series through VI and VII. The newest games like the Sacred Stones on GBA, and the Path of Radiance, move the series forward to great avenues. It’s the great stories, and the quantity of rich text which makes the series shine. The battle system is also unique in its own right, and it’s a welcome change of pace compared to some other TRPGs.
Share your thoughts on this Tactical RPG series and offer any gaming advice you might have. I can't wait to read more into the next title which is set to be on the Nintendo Wii, that's for sure... Cheers.
