Are you sick of this would? Are you tired of the daily rituals of your life? Would you like to get away from it all, and jump at the chance of heading in a new direction? It's natural to feel this way, as even the person who you may view as 'having it all' would most likely not personally feel complete. But such is life, and there is nothing any of us can really do about it. If you have a job you hate, you have to do it anyway, as it's just the way things go. Such is true for you students out there who go to school. As terrible and miserable as you may view it, you need the education (unless you want to work in the fast-food industry all your life, or as a 'check-out-person' in a supermarket).
How would you like to escape from all of this? What would it take? On the realistic side, you would probably need to win a tonne of money. Money is not everything, but it takes care of the work and school thing. Would this be enough for you? Or would it solve nothing if wealth was not the main problem you were dealing with? This topic can be used for a range of open-ended discussion in this regard, interpret it and reply as you see fit.
As for me, I'm quite content with what I have, and where my life is at. But still, I wouldn't turn down the offer to move away and start things over in a new place, and settle down with a wife and have kids. But, it will take me years before I am confident enough to want to do something like that, as it is a large commitment and basically seals your fate. I'd prefer to be able to move around at will and do what I want. Money is definitely not a problem; though I'm not rich or anything. The repeated fashion of going out with mates to clubs every week is starting to get a little thin though, so I'd probably need something else to occupy my time with.
I fancy myself as a decent writer, and I would love to publish a book within the next few years. Though trying to concentrate on the project, amidst working full-time and going out on my weekends, makes the whole thing rather difficult. I wish I was just able to not have to worry about work or an income (yeah right) so I could work on my novels in peace and not have to worry about the future or supporting a family. Sadly, this is a fools dream and could not be done. I'd like to be able do it though; so it would have to be one of my ideal 'escapes'...
