Well, I grew up under sonic rule and seeing as how i actually tend to play them more than i do the four final fantasy games I have yet to beat (two of which i havent even started yet), I'd have to say Sonic.

However, this is a mood point. Personally, my favorite gaming series was Jak and Daxter, but that's just me.

Out of those 4 choices I would pick FF series, its had more of an impact on me than anything else even though mario started it all for me. FF has increased my imagination and love for it as well, Im actually going to start playing FF7 again for the heck of it.

Final Fantasy for sure. The Sonic the Hedgehog games are great too (especially the retro ones), but I love the Final Fantasy series.

There's a lot less options than I'd like on the poll, so out of those it's FF; it's what got me into RPGs in the first place (in all fairness though, I still prefer FFVI and the PSone FF's than the new ones). Though Mario got me into video games at all (age 7! lol). <3 Mario. When I was 10-13 I was obsessed with Crash Bandicoot as well, however. xD
I'm surprised noone's mentioned the Xeno series, I love Xenogears and Xenosaga (especially 'Gears though). And Shadow Hearts. Though the third game was a flop...

If we're talking platform games anyway...Spyro, anyone? lol

My first game I played was when I was 3 years old. It was Super Mario. But sorry Super Mario, Final Fantasy is calling out to me. Final Fantasy is my favourite series of all time. My whole room has Final Fantasy all over it.. ^^; I'm such a freak.

Definitely the Tales series (such as Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Symphonia). The battle system is just really fun and addictting, not to mention the storylines are some of the best I've seen in a long time

Depends on which Final Fantasy, really. Most are good, but then you get the bad ones, which I don't class towards the series, like Crystal Chronicles. For series, I'd say the classic Sonic games were great, and I'd also say that FF and Suikoden hold a place in my heart, when it concerns RPGs.
