Completed it twice, don't really feel the need to fully complete it more than that.
The date scene and the Cloud in dress scenes will alwways be priceless though. Period. :D

:o!

You don't know what you're missing. :p

I'm on my fourth time playing it through, although I've been at the temple of the ancients for a while now... I haven't really felt excited to play it, nor the desire to play it.

I think I've completed the game for 3 times. I'm now playing it for the 4th time. I'm on disc 3 and I'm thinking of going into the crater to master all my materia. :p

Um...I've finished it 12....

I really need more of a life, I can't help being addicted....XD

Thinking about it, I haven't played FF7 in a few months.. I may just begin that today!

Would I get told off if I say I've never played it before?!

I played up to about the crater, then I got very very bored. I found out that I'd have to be using all my party members, so I'd have to train up all the others from scratch, and I thought 'Feck this, I'm not spending the next month running around fighting random battles just to be able to finish this game.'

Your other characters shouldn't be much weaker than your good ones though.

But the again running around getting random battles can get very boring, very easily.

I only beat the game once...It was diffcult so i saw no need in beating it twice

It was your first time, course it was hard.

The first game I had I didn't look for items or anything, but my second game and anward I did.

Nataku

Around 3 or 4 times.

Arcana

Ive played through WAY TOO MANY times. i know the dialogue pretty much >__>

Still a good game, and it is undoubtedly an Iconic game. no one can argue with that. but after you have done everything in it 70+ times its boring.

Scott

but after you have done everything in it 70+ times its boring.

ANYONE that has done it all 70+ times is getting put in a straight jacket!

I found it got boring around the third time, so I left it for a few months.

21-07-2005, 21:27
70+ TIMES!!!! wow it was hard for me doing it once...but honestly 70+ times memorizing diolougue you need to get off that did you spend like 4years straight in front on your PS? :)

Scott
21-07-2005, 21:40
Doing it once is as hard as it gets but after that it becomes very easy.

All I can say is anyone that has done it all 50 times or more needs to get out more! :p

25-07-2005, 20:50

26-07-2005, 10:59
20 or so times....everytime round i try and stop myself using something....

this time round, i'm not using summon or magic materia

last time, no command materia

and before that, no limits

it's hard!!!!!

Sixthcrusifix
26-07-2005, 12:06
I've never thougt of doing stuff like that. How cool. I've beaten ff9 about 5 times and I always try to change my party up. But after realizing the secret as to why Quena and Eiko rock so much better than the rest I have a hard time doing it. And you can't just not use Vivi, you'd have to be a total dumbass.

Bizzaro
27-07-2005, 07:20
True, Vivi is awesome. :D Lol, but I guess that should be discussed in ff9.

i've found a flaw in my methods....i can't beat diamond weapon....so as an exception....i'm nearly there!

Bizzaro
29-07-2005, 09:53
Lol. if you cant beat Diamond I feel sorry for you if you try to fight ruby.

Sixthcrusifix
30-07-2005, 19:52
Diamon Weapon: Easy to Medium with great stats and if you made sure not to use any female characters, they suck (no offence to womn in general)
Ruby: Some think it's only second hardest.. but I think it's THE hardest if you ask me....
Emerald: Most consider it the hardest, but like I said it wasn't as tramatic as ruby for me however if you dont get that thingy to breathe underwater you're wasting your time trying to beat it.

Bizzaro
01-08-2005, 09:38
Lol, I havent found anyone that thinks Emerald is harder than Ruby. Emerald was actually pretty easy compared to Ruby.

[Gasp!] You two haven't completed FFVII? :D I'm just kidding, but yeah, it's an awesome game, a must-play for anyone who even kinda' likes RPG's. Hehe, I sound like one o' them critics. I'm Ebert! or Roper...or is it Rober? Or is that only one guy?
As for me, I've finished it 3 times, one on PC and twice on PSone. First time through it on PC, I got really pissed off in the North Crater and stopped playing it for like, 2 months. After I finally finished it, my sister broke Disc 1 and lost Disc 3. Then, like 3 years later, after pursuing it endlessly, I found the PSone version at Circuit City for $12.00! Why would they sell the world's greatest game for only $12.00?!?! Anyway, I played through it and then a year later, I got a hankerin' for a really good game, and popped it into my PS2...Wow, uh...yeah, as you can tell, I'm kinda' obsessed with the game, but I think I have a right to obsessed...
I DO TOO HAVE A LIFE!

Ive finished it 3 times, the first time wasnt that good because I didnt have all the secret Summons and stuff, the second time was the same, the 3rd time I got a Golden Chocobo with most of the stuff:D

And now im finishing it for the fourth time using the official guide to get 100% items, summons, limit breaks, ultimate weapons, secrets and the rest.

Once only.

Now, I'm playing it the second time to find secret characters, beat the Weapons, and breed Chocobos. This means that I'm not going to beat the game AGAIN until I have found ALL secrets FF7.

A little over 10 times. Shame on me, yes, I know. But it wasn't until my 7th playthrough that I finally got KoTR though...but I had a lot of time on my hands since I got the game in 1998.

I think 2-3 times and I've beaten both Emerald and Ruby Weapon twice. Surprisingly, one of those times I beat Emerald my first time with Cait Sith's slots. One-hit KO :P

I've mastered summon once (damn did that take forever) and magic like two or three times. I've yet to fully master command.
