In Odin a linkshell called LimitBreak Beat it

PlusOne teamed up with another LS and beat it.
PhantomBrigade, JP HNMLS that has beat about everything in the game.
And ParadiseOblivion beat it too, if I'm not mistaken, but they're kaput now.

i heard u have to get certain weapons to lock A.V's 2hours since it can do any 2hour u have to get like a whitemage club to lock its benediction is that true???

Ignoring my semi-noobishness of FFXI, what exactly is Absolute Virtue? I don't need to ask how hard it is cuz I've heard the rumors, but still, I don't really know what it is o.O

Never seen it myself (No Sea acess) but it's a lottery pop NM off some of the Jailer NM's in a special area called Sea, which you get access too by completing a load of the Chains of Promethia missions.

Up until pretty recently it's been impossible to beat other then by glitching it since it summons a load of pets (wynav's, like a dragoons wyverns apart from AV can have up to 6 or something like that at one time) and can do the 2HR's for each job and casts powerful air-based magic. So basically, even if you had enough bodies to throw at it to get it down several 10,000's of HP then it could just use Benediction.

I can't remember how it works, but there's something you can do and that disables it's ability to use 2HR's and makes it easier.

It's a Notorious Monster in Al'Taeiu (Sea), it randomly pops sometimes after Jailer of Hope (I think its hope or Love) is killed. It is supposed to be the hardest NM in the game, so far. It can use every 2 hour in the game, (Except the Aht Urghan jobs) And if it's like other Aern's it can also Reraise after its died, to full HP.

Not sure if AV can reraise though.

People say to lock it's 2 hours you need to use the specific jailer weapons, that drop from the jailer mobs. Axe, Club, Sword, Knife etc.

I've never killed it before, but maybe sometime.
Btw, I've had it spawn on our LS before, we just ran though. ;[

that would explain why I've never seen it. I don't have Chains or Treasures expansions xD hopefully I'll get them fro christmas though and I'll be able to use them after lvling SMN for awhile (4 more lvls til i can get more avatars, wewt)

EDIT: just saw it on Allakhazam. Looks hot, but still I understand now how hard as hell it must be to fight o_O

Yeah that's just about it lol. Also though you have to have the Virtue Stones equiped I'm sure... deffinetly read that somewhere.
That bitch of a NM casts Meteor rather often(After having seen videos n stuff about him), and like, immediatly wipes at least half a pile of people down, its funny XD I think he's level 95-100 though. But Fenrir hasn't beaten AV Yet I think =o

every1 is exactly correct, the hardest NM in the game Absolute Virtue and thats true it does do all 2hours u have to kill the jailers and they drop the whm club and so on, to lock the 2hour u don't have to hit A.V just engage it and straight away locks the 2hour so if u engage A.V with the whm club it can't do benediction ever untill the thing is dead

lol xD i haven't even got a job past 60 because i keep training different jobs but 1 job i stopped lvling because of inflation >.<
i lvl Dark Knight to 55 then i looked at the price of hauby guess how much it was?
5 damn mil! so i stopped and went to bard since it was cheap then i stopped playing bard cos i got a new account so me and my bro can play seperately
then played as thief now at 54 and i still am thief and i'm liking it!
