my top 5 favourite mmorpg are
1.) FFXI
2.) Ragnarok
3.) Everquest
4.) Flyff
5.) Maplestory (i guess, since i can't think of any more mmorpg games i've played)
but thats not the question the answer to your question would be

MMO's I've played: FFXI, Guild Wars, Fairyland, Ragnarok
Out of those my favourite is FFXI, though it's not a perfect game...way too much downtime for it's own good, but imo it's the less shallow one of the MMO's listed, it has lots to do, even if you need teamwork for basically every little bit of it -.- Fun when you can get going though.

Out of FFXI, WoW and Fairyland and GW, FFXI does beat those lot lol. That is because I play it the most >.> :P

I've played quite a bit of Mmo's, and I'd say my favorite would be Guild Wars, it's close, though....
I was sad that I couldn't get into FFXI enough, I still play occasionally, when I'm not playing GW, 'cause it's really hard for me to balance the two..

I think I'll play FFXI now!

My favorite is Final Fantasy XI atm, but when I have played World of Warcraft more and more I think it will be my favorite then.

I've played many online RPGs (MapleStory, Fairyland, RYL, etc. just ask for full list) but I've never get a chance to think which my favourite is currently. But since I'm playing one right now, it's MapleStory.

I played WoW and PSU...I enjoyed Wow more than PSU just need to try FFXI...maybe on my 360...

World of Warcraft and Guild Wars.
I've heard Vanguard: SoH is decent, but doesn't seem like it's better than WoW.
Also, Warhammer Online looks pretty awesome, but yeah, won't becoming out til October.

my favourite mmo of all time is maplestory!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but i still havnt tried final fantasy 11, gonna try it soon, but untill then maplestory!!!!!!

EvE at the moment, because it isn't filled with little kids running around screaming.
Used to be WoW before it got boring...really boring,
Before that probably SWG,
Before SWG? Hmmmm Planetside or PSO.
Oh and Earth and Beyond was good fun too :) But they shut it down :(

FFXI - Was empty when I played it, which was annoying because I really wanted to play it properly.
Vanguard - Interesting in the fact that you didn't need to fight to level up, you could do Diplomatic quests.
COH/COV - Good at first, quickly tired of it, although the location badges were fun....kinda.
Tabula Rasa - Not bad actually, leveling was tiresome, felt like a real real grind.
RF Online - Jeesus...what a grind that was.
Lineage II - Same as above.

Just a sample of the highs and lows of MMOs that I've played :)
