Your first Final Fantasy game?

What was your first Final Fantasy game you've played?

My first Final Fantasy game was Final Fantasy VII. I saw the game at a friend's place and I really wanted it. So I got a PlayStation and the game from my mother (*hugs*). Its still my favorite game.

FFVIII was my first, I read a review about it in a Dutch gaming magazine when I was like 10 or 12, and it looked and sounded really good, and a few years later I saw the game in the supermarket for quite a cheap price and bought it. Still my favourite FF to date.
Funny, Maarten (Tsuji) thought it was gonna suck and was a Disney game (wtf XD probably because of the cursor? the little white glove lol) but once he saw the opening sequence he was all like "o.O"

My dad had already bought a Playstation (mainly for his use).
Then my nephew showed up with some more games.
He told me I should try FFVIII.
And so I started playing FFVIII and I was immediately addicted to it.

My first Final Fantasy was number 7.

I don't remember hearing much about it before I saw it in town one day with a mate. And thought why not, I'll give it a shot. And the rest, or so they say, is history.

I remember way back when, I was watching my older cousin play VII after it came out (don't remember if I played it or not) and then when I got my PS2 my brother went and rented X. At the time, I thought it was too difficult to understand (like the sphere grid, for instance), but the first one I actually got into and remember it was either Kingdom Hearts or FFVII (Kingdom Hearts got me into FFVII because of the characters, but I don't know if you'd count that :S)

My very first Final Fantasy game was FFVII. Back then I'd just watch my brother play it and I think my mouth always gaped open everytime I watched. I was enthralled by the excitement, thus, beginning my interest in Final Fantasy games. Then, when my brother finished it, I was so thrilled by the ending. Awesome stuff...

Then, when I tried playing it (I think I was already around 6 or 5 that time) I was stuck fighting against the first boss because I was scared of losing. My brother laughed so hard at me for it, and now I know why he finds it funny.

My first game was Final Fantasy IV Advance, for my... you guessed it, Game Boy Advance. I got a DS for christmas but I think its reeeeealy good!!! I think i'll give a reveiw. Oh! That reminds me, I have to go and finish my FFXII reveiw in my SQuare-Enix Binder.

Well... If the Final Fantasy Adventure on Game Boy counts, then that would really be my first. But my first would have to be a Final Fantasy IX. I can remember my first time, playing it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Thats how I got myself addicted to the FF series :D!

Final Fantasy VII.

One of my friends would play it, and I decided to get it for my for my Birthday.

I really enjoyed it back when I first played it, but now I don't see it as that super awesome game everyone else thinks it is. My favourite will always be Final Fantasy IX.

I enjoyed it for like 3 years and I was like "OMG I HATE YOU SEPHIROTH" lol and my hands became sweaty after (and probably before) being stuck in the Northern Crater (the last place to fight Sephiroth).

I played FF-VII first.

And I hated it.

I had no idea what an RPG was and I didn't get it Ha!

Then later on, obviously, I fell in love! :D

Mine was Final Fantasy VI (III in the US). My friend bought it and let me play it and I just fell in love with it from that point on.

back at school ziddy was always talking about FFVII, he and a few others where talking about it and i never understood it, he brought the little PS manual about FFVII and i remember seeying a stupid cloud (caith sith) and thought it was waaaaay to stupid, after them talking for still so long about i was able to get my hands on a ripoff version from a friend (i had no playstation)

from that point on it was nothing but final fantasy for me :P finished the game 16 times now and just started on it the 17th time :P

As Kim said, FFVIII was our first game, we both got completely hooked onto it once we started playing it. Still the best game in my opinion, ahh the memories <3

My first Final Fantasy was Final Fantasy Tactics. I played FFIX next, but Tactics was my first and had I not been pressured to try IX, I might not have liked FF at all. Of course, now I love Tactics, but I was kinda young and a strategy game like Tactics was a bit too complicated.

FFIX was my first FF I ever played. A friend of my father's let my dad originally borrowed it. He hated it, but I tried it one day and has became my favorite FF game of all time since then. Then before you know it, I picked FFVII then FFVIII and the other FF games. :D

Final Fantasy 8 was my first FF and a hell of a classical Final Fantasy to start out on. After I play FF8 I became a total FF addict :P

the first ff game i played was FFVIII and i liked the game. i think it was one of the best final fantasy games i have played although some people didnt like this game much.

My first game was FFX. I was at a friend's house one day, and he handed me the game and said "this is the best game ever made" i had agreed with him by the time the opening blitzball scene ended. had it not been for that and a boring summer, i might have never played FF or any other RPGs.

My first FF was IX. I had already seen VIII at my cousin's and was mighty impressed, and then he gave me IX for my birthday. Damn, 6 years ago already.
After that I started playing VII and VIII, and still lovin' it.

The reason I got into Final Fantasy was because I had watched my uncle play FFVII, but the first Final Fantasy I played, if memory serves me correctly, is VIII, which is actually my favorite. Though me and that uncle never talk anymore- he was living with my grandparents at this time, I do owe him that much for getting me into the series back then, along with some other RPG's.

ACTUALLY, now that I think of it now.. My first FF would have to be (I didn't realize it until now) that it's Final Fantasy Adventure on the Gameboy Colour (even though it wasn't coloured lol). Thats just soo weird.. But it didn't quite feel like an FF to me though.

Final Fantasy Tactics
My brother owned it and there wasnt anything else to do so I picked it up and found myself getting it really easy I even passed my brothers progress in and beat it before he got passed the first few battles, (he wasnt that good at it and only played it about a third of the time that he did) I even have my file from the first time I played it
