I have Final Fantasy XII and I think its such a great game, I'll do a reweiw for it. Please comment and feel free to write your own Reveiw!
Final Fantasy XII is about Vaan, whos entire family has been taken by war. He only has his best friend Penelo now... they decide to stop this evil empire and are followed by a Dashing Sky Pirate, His Partner - A MAster of Weapons, A Princess Who Had Lost Everything, and Man Branded As a Traitor. Together they go to find an deafeat this empire...
Story - 10/10
This stroy is very good and we really heven't seen one like this since Final Fantasy VII, 10 Years ago...
Graphics - 10/10
The graphics in FFXII are at an almost undeard of deteail. In FMV's, it almost looks real! The graphics on the feild are good too, but the fact that FMV's appear every 20 minutes in the game is a REALLY good thing on this game!
Sound/Music - 10/10
The Music is even better this time around. Each track really suits each area very well. From the footsteps to the sound of an airship flying through the skys you can't miss a thing!
Controls - 9/10
Good controls but they may take a little getting used to. I get used to controls of game particually quickly, but you people aren't me... :P
Overall - 39/40 (Excellent)
As you can see, Final Fantasy XII is the second best Final Fantasy to date in by book. Number 1 is Final Fantasy VII, even though I got like... no where in it, when I played it in North Dakota... oh well... that was my reveiw, I hope it helps you.
I'd give it full marks. In my opinion this is the best game ever made. I think the only POSSIBLE 2 improvements would be a fully Uematsu soundtrack, with Sakimoto arranging, and expansion of the game to open up Rozarria for proper exploration.
Although that probably woulda made it one of the only 2 disc PS2 games ever! I'm stunned they fit it all on one actually...
Your review is horribly wrong,

FFXII isn't about Vaan at all, the story doesnt involve him he is more of a watcher.
He and Penelo dont decide to destroy the evil empire at all, Vaan goes to steal something from the palace and encounters the sky pirate and his partner, now being wanted by the empire and smoeone close being taken he is forced to go with the sky pirate.

I have to agree here, its actually Ashe's story, seen through the eyes of vaan.
after raking in over 60 hours of gameplay, id have to totally disagree with you review scores. at best its a 55% score, story is very dry, bosses are easy, development system is just bad. visually, 10 was superior, vaan looks like a bad michael jackson reject, Ashe is a Yuna clone, the only thing that has it going for it is Basch's appearance and Balthier's "leading man" attitude.

^ That is harsh. I don't think you really needed to say that. And you're not being fair. I can imagine you don't like the game as much as other people. But to say "vaan looks like a bad michael jackson reject" is completely irrelevant and off the point.
I think the story, so far, is interesting. I like it, but it's a bit slow when you get to a certain point. I don't really see the point of the Licences, but maybe it will come to me. Those are rather annoying. The quickenings are interesting, especially how you can chain them. The characters are alright, though I don't particularly like Vaan. He's not really part of the game at all (as far as I can see now) and I hope that in the the future of this game he will develop for the better.
All in all, I think the game is not deserving of 10/10, but 8/10 is coming closer. It's really nice, a real FF game, but it's not the best I've ever played. Eye-opening, yes. Breath taking, yes. Excellent, no.
I disagree, I think FFXII is a 10/10 and the best Final Fantasy ever!
I reckon exploration of Rozarria, more character development and an Uematsu score would make it perfection - but as it is I think FFXII is the best game ever made!
Honestly, Final Fantasy XII really changed the way FF games were played. Besides, the endless random battles and line dancing was getting really tiresome with that "same old, same old" symptom. But I love FFXII, It's the best.

I think FFXII was an awesome installment on the FF series. I loved the way they changed things. And I remember being exited about the game when first starting out.
Story- 8/10...Great story with alot of unique charachters from cool races. I did feel the storyline was short and wished it was more in-depth on ALOT of the characters. I also was dissapointed in Vaan's age and role in the whole thing. He just seemed to me to be a bit young (winey) and throughout the entire story was not the "main" charachter. When I play an RPG I like to be able to play the "main" person in the story and I felt Vaan was shoved aside in the storyline where ALOT of things had nothing to do with him.
Graphics- 10/10 Just simply amazing. The FMV's where unbridaled awesomeness. Goodbye to pixals!!
Sound/Music- 9/10 Very well done. Yet agian SE has tapped into the various ways of making cool soundtracks for the appropriate enviroment.
Control- 9/10 Pretty basic stuff. But without the proper controls a game can be ruined. Which was not the case here.
Citys- 10/10 I simply loved Rabanastre, The whole "Big city" feel of NCP's hanging out in corners and walking around was awesome. I also enjoyed the Mines where I met my demise several times (:P).The city floating in the air. And other locations where very well done.
License board- 2/10- This whole thing sucks. You get a weapon, Equip it, then "find it" on the license board. I so hated every minute spent there. The ONLY thing I liked about it was when something I wanted popped up. Other than that what a complete waste of time.
AIR Ships- Appearance -10/10 The air ships in this game looked amazing. I could not have designed it better myself
Usefullness- 3/10 COME ON let me drive the air ship around!! WTF??
Favorite People- Balthier, Fran, Vayne, Judges, Javarians?? (guys with masks), EVIL CID (about time).
Overall- 39.5/40 (Excellent) This was a great game with an awesome battle system and a new approach on the FF series. Though it had its minor setbacks I could probably find some in any game. Plus the good far outwieghed the minor stuff.
P.S. Bring back the old summons!! (I think I'll start a petition)
the only things that bugged me vaan and penelo were completely useless to the game it was very long at the begininng and then it was smashed together in a mess and you could skim through the game easily if you were above the level requirements for the area.
good things about it great graphics okay story but its still pretty much same bland ff story over again with new characters. it had something a litttle new which is a good smart mouth cahracter not one with terrible puns and one liners. basch balthier and fran made most of the game's worth.
