The name comes from my friend's nickname, which is indeed Hamtaro :P
It's an anime forum for our school anime club that was supposed to be slightly more mature so our club doesn't crumble if anyone in school saw it. (by mature I mean, like, language)
It's fairly general though in anime, music, games, RP, etc.
