Collecting Exp & Gil!

Barheim Passage (Recommended Level: 8)
After Basch finds some equipment near the Save Crystal in the North-South junction, allow the Charge gauge to drop so that Undead foes emerge from the darkness, Skeletons and Skull Defenders. This mobs are more difficult to beat, but contain large EXP rewards when dispatched. Forming a Battle Chain with these will give you a better chance of receiving Bone Fragments & Iron Helms.

Lhusu Mines (Recommended Level: 9)
Numerous Skeletons and Skull Defenders appear on the Shunia Twinspan. Try to steal Bone Fragments (193 Gil sell value) before you defeat them. The enemies will reappear every time you move two zones away and return, so you can build highly profitable Battle Chains here. (Having Lamont in your party will make it a lot easier. Free heals and such, but you shouldn't continue with the story if you want him in your party, as after you reach the end of the zone he leaves).

Ogir-Yensa Sandea (Recommended Level: 13)
Steal Succulent Fruits from the Alaraunes at Platform 1: East Tanks and Platform 1: Refinery before you defeat them. These items sell for 363 Gil a piece.

Golmore Jungle (Recommended Level: 19)
Defeat Panthers on the Paths of Chained Light - you'll obtain Coeurl Pelts that can be sold for 454 Gil - then go through the Sunlit Path to the Field of Light Winds, then return to continue your Battle Chain.

Henne Mines (Recommended Level: 22)
If you use the Gate Switchboard at Pithead Junction B, approximately 16 Jellies will appear. You can defeat them easily with Fira, or by summoning Belias. Walk two zones away, then return. Build a long Battle Chain and they will drop Yellow Liquids, which sell for 535 Gil each.

Stilshrine of Miriam (Recommended level: 30)
Form a lengthy Battle Chain by defeating Undead creatures in the Walk of Reason. You will obtain large sums of EXP, dozen of strips of Festering Flesh (sell value: 542 Gil) and eventually, Enchanter's Habits and Ice Brands (@ Battle Chain: 100, they drop more frequently, and Ice Brands sell for 3.2k. Remember to equip your chars with some as they drop, as they are the most powerful weapons you can obtain at the moment), flee back to Cold Distance via Walk of Prescience, and return to replenish their numbers.

Salikawood (Recommended Level: 34)
You can steal valuable loot from the King Bomb in the Grand Bower, including a Bomb Shell (896 Gil) or a Bomb Fragment (1911 Gil). After each successful attempt, simply leave the zone and then return to steal again (It's not normally possible to come and go in Boss Fights).

Sochen Cave Palace (Recommended Level: 36)
Defeat the Strikers, Wendigos and Zombie Knights between the Falls of Time and Temptation Eluded to collect loot such as Maggoty Flesh. Stealing is also fruitful here: the Forbidden Flesh you can acquire from Wendigos sells for 1,397 Gil.

Feywood (Recommended Level: 39)
Defeat Mirror Knights in the Walk of Dancing Shadow. Flee through Antiquity's End and the Walk of Stolen Truth, then return (remember using Save Crystal will reset your Battle Chain to zero). By selling every dropped and stolen item in a protracted Battle Chain, you can earn approximately 200k Gil per hour (Mirror Knights drop Mirror Mail, which is useful for the upcoming boss battle)

Stilshrine of Miriam (Recommended Level: 40)
At the Throne of Veiled Gods you'll encounter Dark Lords, which can be easily defeated with Curaga. A useful Gambit setup is:
Foe: Nearest visible > Curaga
Self: MP < 10%: > Charge

If your characters are powerful enough to defeat a Dark Lord with one Curaga, you can earn up to 400k Gil per hour.
If you're feeling a bit daring, you can cast Reflect on your party, and cast Curaga on yourselves, having it hit the mob 3 times. Of course, you'll need to Dispel yourself or use items to heal.

Naberus Deadlands (Recommended Level: 55)
Defeat the Dead Bones at Overlooking Eternity, walk two zones away and then return. As these are Undead enemies, a Gambit combination such as the one above will work well. You can use Holy Weapons too, to inflict major damage.

Henne Mines (Recommended Level: 65+)
When you activate the switch at Pithead Junction C, approximately ten Abysteels will appear. These foes are dangerous, so instruct all three chars to send them to Sleep with Sleepga. The Gambit combo:

Foe: Nearest visible > Sleepga
Foe: Status: Sleep > Curaga
It will be easier with the Faith status effect on your party before the battle. Equipment with a high Evade rating (such as Ensanguined Shield or Zodiac Shield) can also be very helpful. After defeating all enemies, change the switch to red and go to Phase 2 Shaft and Crossover C, then return. You can earn more then 1,000,000 EXP/Gil per hour with this strategy, and up to 3,000,000 EXP/Gil per hour if your characters are at higher levels and have excellent equipment.

Awesome guide, Dommeh. I learned a lot from it, and I'm sure other members will too. Thank j00 for the tips for Stilshrine, that's where I am right now, just fighting like crazy, trying to level up and collect teh gilz. I'm doing a good job in keeping my levels at your recommendations, though. =P

I'm with Dark Sephiroth. I am at high levels and getting annoyed with trying to level up. This trick should cut my time down exponentially.
