Whilst I have my doubts that square will remake Final Fantasy VII in the next ten years, I have curiously wondered what they might change about the game, given that if they were to remake it, they'd probably do a few changes to a few of the systems.
Here's my question for you, if you could have your say on what would change in the FF7 Remake what would you say.
I would say, Improved translation, Better graphics, and some added bonusses, but nothing more.
well, they wouldnt remake ff7 with PS1 graphics so asking for better graphics is a bit obvious :P
I would suggest, an added side-quest to revive Aries, so not everyone HAS to do it, it's just an option that some/most people would like to see.

I'd quite like a thing where after Aeris dies, it says 'SHE'S BLOODY DEAD! SHE WON'T BE COMING BACK! STOP WRITING FANFICTIONS ABOUT HOW SHE'S BACK! SHE'S DEAD!'
But that's just me ;)

Having her revived, even in a sidequest, would be stupid. Because one it takes away from her sacrifice. And two, it wouldn't make sense with the sequel (FF7:AC) where she is dead. Dead, dead, dead, dead... DEAD.
If I could ask for one thing of this remake, it would be that it wouldn't exist. And people would stop going on about it. Wait that's two things... Oh well.

hence why it's a side-quest, its not part of the storyline it's just added for people's interests. And if you dont like people that are talking about, be sensible and don't read it, we dont want to hear you moaning about it and you dont want to hear us begging for it, so getfo.

See, the problem is that side-quests are usually considered canon in game storylines. So if there was a side-quest to revive aeris, then as far as the game storyline is concerned aeris would have been revived (kinda like how the two optional characters are two of the biggest fan favourites and have their own game)

Have it as a mini-game then?!?!?!?! lolz.
I dunno, but alot of people would ask for her to be revive to be honest, I don't care. I never used her when I played FF7, I never used many of htem really, which is why I was so screwed at the end fight lol.

Reviving Aeris, even as a side quest or mini game, would break down the drama of her sacrifice. It would go lost. Besides that I think it's pointless.
What I would like to see in a FFVII remake, aside from the obvious things like better graphics;
- Corrections of the inconsistencies created by sequels and related games/movies.
- Serious fixage of the Chocobo breeding system.
- More dept into the secondary character stories.
That said, I don't want them tampering with the storyline. It's already been told, and unless they can sell it in believable manners, they shouldn't change it.

it would be sweet if they make it so you can choose what battle style you want because many people like the original battle style but others prefer the ff XII battle style or even the tactics one

As already has been said: the graphics would of course have to be better than the kubist-looking characters in the original, besides that I would love to see more references to the entire compilation, and that those be a lot clearer than they are. Everytime I watch Last Order now I'm always asking myself: when did this happen again? And on top of that, I would adore Square if they'd make the remake, and lenghten the substories of especially Vincent, for example not tell the audience the whole story with Lucrecia, Vince and Sephi, but make them play it in a flashback or let them see it in a FMV.
But seriously guys, is this remake being made or not?
It seems everyone has different answers, although I've read that Square is against the whole thing.

The EXACT same story.
Just with updated graphics, music (same music but better sounding, not MIDI), more subgames, more to do in Gold Saucer, more extras etc.
But the same story, maybe with some extras that are relevant, make areas bigger, and have more to do.
