Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is an action RPG that will be released for the PlayStation Portable. There's not much known yet about this game, but most likely you play the game as Zack and it takes place before Final Fantasy VII.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this game, but too bad I can't buy it, since I don't have a PSP...

Well, last week Square Enix has updated their website with the Jump Festa trailer and the game looks awesome so far.

There will be a Crisis Core section soon too on the website, so hopefully then more people know about the game.

The story for that game was good, it was more it was short and the gameplay was fairly bad. The extra levels were good, though, as they really offered a challenge.

Dirge of Cerberus is a shooter and Crisis Core is an action RPG, so that's one big difference.

The game will be released on September 13th in Japan and there will be a special Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - 10 Anniversary Limited pack with a 'Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Edition' PlayStation Portable. Looks really cool, might buy one if they'll also be released here.

Well, SE has been working on this game for almost 3 years now... trailers look very promising hope the game will be too. Advent children movie was pretty good SE worked 2 years on that. Only 9 days to go till to find out how Crisis core will be like!

Oh my...seems you have Located one of the many characters i have. Unfortunately I have two level 70 warriors on the same server on another account as i've said before. One is my PvP warrior and the other for Second-tank Instances in order to do Guild Raids and Pvp without changing things on my warrior. You might uh...want to look at Ninjavitis...my other badboy warrior that has the gear i said i had acquired ages ago. which I cant make guildleader...due to the fact i cant promote myself when one character is offline. I seldomly play with him unless the guild needs me for instances and or i need to make fast money with mining or make weapons for my other warrior I.E. Felsteel Longblade CREATED BY MY OTHER WARRIOR. If you want info on the other characters i have that would own your face...feel free to let me know :) As I've said been playing this game longer than the underwear you got on. Warriors can seem overpowered if your skill and gear is not right. But cant do shit if our dps sucks and we have to get close range now can we. Darkreaper is nothing more than an experimental warrior that i use to whoop on ppl like yourself dusk. I dont need my lock or my rogue to do that. Just me and teh undergeared warrior, which i'm very proud of.

Despite being as you say undergeared I still beat countless ppl to get my S1 gear. And didnt have all the weapons nor armor to do with unlike my other warrior who is a blacksmith.

Disregard that, I sucks cocks.

If they release it on PS3 too early, people won't buy it either way. The PS3 hasn't kicked off juuuuust yet, and I'd hate to see a pretty cool game go to waste.

But I thought that SE had said somewhere that FFXII would be their last game for the PS2. Go figure.

Finished the game in 14 hours :/ kinda dissapointing since i don't even finish ff7 disc 1 in 14 hours if i take my own time finishing everything.

My point of view of FFVIIcc

pros:
- Materia system, create and mix your own unique materia create over 1,000 diferent kind of materia!
- Great graphics best till PSP has now.
- New battle system action battle systems makes battles alot more fun.
- Great sounds, music, remixed FFVII songs.
- Storyline.
- FMVs are about the same quality as PS2 quality you can think of FFX or FFXII.
- Over 500 sub-missions to do and getting the best materia/gear which brings your total playing time to 40-60 hours.

Cons:
- There are still random battles, but less random and on screen.
- Can be completed in around 12-15 hours playing.
- It's pretty much straight forward, there's no world map unfortunately and you can't go where you want so if you are at a save point you're basicly stuck you can only move forward the story.
- Difficulty could have been harder
- Some bosses required just mashing buttons.


Overall it's still a great game, graphics are really awesome there isn't a PSP game or RPG that has the graphics like FFVIIcc. If youre a FF fan or a fan of FF7, one of the dissapointing things is you couldn't move freely around like FF7 or theres a world map or visit cities when you want. They could have made the story a little longer working on it for 3 years the storyline isn't as long as FF7 or crisis core isn't as good as FF7, but it's still an awesome game.

I can't wait for this game. I always wanted to know Zack's full story. This is one of the few FF compilations that I acatually want.

I've been playing this game for some time now, and I must say it's quite impressive. I'm not very fond of the battle system (not yet, anyway) as it's quite slow. It's a real-time system, set up similar to a MMORPG (like Guild Wars or WoW), where you have a series of buttons and they all resemble your move in battle (similar to the quick spells buttons in MMO's). You can dodge in this game, finally, and it's a real dodging system too. You can jump away from your enemies. The graphics for the FMV's are beautiful *___* lol. They're almost as detailed as Advent Children. The graphics for in-game are a lot like Final Fantasy IX or X. More like IX I'd say. <,<;

I am seriously looking forward to FFVII:CC. After the disappointment of DoC and a sub-par film barring the fight scenes and visuals I've heard some good stuff about Crisis Core. Looks like SE were actually bothered with this one.

I am pretty psyched about Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. The graphics look great, FMVs looks great as well. It'll be interesting to see the gameplay on the PSP as an action RPG. But I am a little disappointed that you don't get to control other characters as well.

Haha, I am so relieved that I finally got the PSP. Now just wish that they would release Final Fantasy III on there as well :(

I played the game in japanese...well kinda...I could not get past the menus for I don;t really understand jap. but the game is great! The graphics look like a ps2 which is sying alot for the ps2 had some really good graphics and the combat system plays great....I just wish i understood what they were saying so I could finish the game and not the first 3 missions.......

Dude, I own a Japanese version of this and like Genesis, I can't understand a single word they say. But there are cutscenes in Youtube with English subtitles: that's where I get some to understand the story better.

HAHAHA WOW! I can't even navigate in a Japanese Website even with little pictures putting little hints... But a whole video game but it's funny because I would imagine that the Japanese Version of games would be slightly different, like their systems, etc. Like you know how the UK people have different PS2s than us, I think, it was them that does?

Actually, there are also some videos in Youtube. There are cutscenes in English but there are only a few of them. And MAN!!! Genesis' sword is sick!!! It's like some deadly crazy lightsaber xD

Wow, wow, wooooow! I finally got this game!! It's absolutely Godliness :) I am addicted to it... I accidentally used up all of my PSP battery and now I have to wait for it to charge... But wow, I love it. The storyline is keeping me on edged, the gameplay is just so entertaining (it reminds me of Kingdom Hearts), and the attacks (especially the summons are amazing). Graphics are superb! But the only thing I am just a tad disappointed with is the music, it's not bad, just a little repetitive sometimes. I wish they had used their FFVII Battle Music remix for the Combat Mode instead of using it for when they synthesize my materia XD but other than that, it's still pretty good :)

I've got the game since Thursday and so far I like it. Only the DMW makes the game kinda easy and its totally random. I haven't played it much due to school.

I'm at the point that Genesis is attacking Shinra HQ and that I have to protect Hojo.

Oh, and Genesis, thanks for the spoiler. But Zack was going to die anyway.

I've (finally) finished the game last night in bed. Genesis wasn't really that hard to beat.
The ending was really sad but freaking great, I almost cried.

My playtime was almost 19 hours and I've done only 15% of the missions. I'm going to do them all next time.

The game was great, only the random DMW was sometimes annoying.

i have just recently bought a psp with the game and so far i like the game. i like the cut scene graphics and the voice overs were good too. i haven't really got to play on it that much though i have just finished the mission in angeals and genesis' hometown.

Ohhh yes I have definitely played Crisis Core - I never finished it yet though.
Wow, the game is quite long I must say. I did a lot of the missions and I spend like a good 2-3 hours just by doing missions, it is fun but time consuming. But the graphics were great and it is nice to see a different approach to the Final Fantasy VII story prior to the events with another main character who was only mentioned briefly in the FFVII story.

But definitely worth trying it!

WOW that is SO weird. I picked up CC today (haven't for a while), and I am at the exact same part as you are :p with Aerith making a flower wagon. I'm like lvl 33 though and have done like 29% of the missions, wow they are repetitive but I am about to do some more missions hehe.
