Does anyone beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts II and at which level?

I haven't yet, since I can't beat him. Sora is level 78 atm. I have Ultima Weapon and abilities like Beserker, Counterguard, MP Hastega equipped. Do I need to be at a higher level?

Try Negative Combo with a good finishing move. It's been so long since I successfully beat him, I've forgotten what I then did, but try that at the very least. Also, watch it with those reaction commands. If you can't use them decently, then you are royally screwed.

Okay, the key to killing that annoying boss, is as simple as eating pie. I'll give you some tips.

1. You absolutely must have Leaf Brace, Once More, and Second Chance abilities. That last remaining HP point may be your last chance to heal.

2. Don't Waste MP. Curaga and Reflaga will be the only spells you'll need.

3. Lock on to Sephiroth at all times. When he teleports, use R1 to lock on immediately.

4. His quick ground combo (which he always uses to start the fight) has a reaction command that will leave him vulnerable. This is the easiest way to hurt him.

5. When he launches you into the air, use Air Recovery and launch an air combo. This is another way to make some damage.

6. When he launches his deadly pillars of flame, use glide (from leveling up the Final Form) or Air Dodge (from leveling up the Master Form) to escape. Or you can use Reflaga to give him a taste of his own medicine. It makes a lot of damage.

7. When he summons those annoying orbs to surround you, use Reflaga to break them. This does some damage too.

8. When the sky darkens and Sephiroth rises into the air, hit him quick! If you don't, he'll smash you with an unstoppable attack that will leave you barely alive. If you weren't able to stop him, use the reaction command to avoid his next attack (see #4) then heal!

9. Sephiroth can only be defeated with a finishing blow. Keep that in mind.

... And that's it! Go and kick his gigantic one-winged butt!!!

I've defeated him!! :D

I leveled 4 levels so I was level 82. I equipped all my item slots with Elixers and abilities like Leaf Brace, Once More, MP Rage, MP Hastega (Ultima Weapon has it), Guard, Explosion.

I attacked him at first when I had the chance and when he starts attacking me I tried using Guard and counterattack him.
In the next stage I ignored the balls and just keep attacking him if I had the chance and when he casted Dark Angel (1 HP and 0 MP) I tried to attack him before he casted it. When he casted the Pillars of Fire I just run away. Sometimes it failed and I had to use an Elixer.
At the final stage he was kinda annoying with casting Meteor and other special attacks quickly after each other and I almost died. Luckily I cured myself and killed him! :)

Yep! It's a nice looking Keyblade. :D

Now I can focus to get to level 99 and finish a lot of quests (not all though, I think). Then I can finally finish the game. :)

good luck doing all the sidequests, though. I'm level 99 and still am trying to complete all the synthesis lists (collect, I think, 30 of each shard, 25 of each stone and 20 of each gem, not including mythril, bright, serenity, energy or orichalcum) and all the objectives of the olympus colliseum. HARD AS HELL o-o

Yeah, I defeated Sephiroth when I was in level 55 or something. I'm on my way completing my Gummi Ship garage LOL...

However, it's not mandatory for completing Jiminy's journal so I really don't care, but I still try doing it anyways.

i beat Sephiroth at level 80 with 140 HP(before i went to The World That Never Was) i started fighting him at level 54 to learn his moves and stuff. everything(forms) were maxed out easy.

i beat him at 68, it was really hard but it was worth it. I'm also 99 now and working hard on the hades cup tournement level 99, well im close anyway. The fenrir keyblade is not my favirote though I like the Ultima Weapon better but it still great for valor form or final form.
