'Ladies and gentlemen! Give a biiiiig welcome to your host - the one, the only.. JACK T. RIPPER!'
Studio lights flare as the audience cheer, and a handsome man with stylish slicked hair runs out from a bank of fog, waving to the crowd. A showgirl winks seductively and pulls a lever, and a section of the wall rotates to reveal a large screen and comfortable armchair, which Jack swings himself into.
'So, ladies and gentlemen' he says, grinning into the camera. 'Welcome to my domain. Welcome to America's number one occult television show - welcome to the Devil Inside!'
Still grinning, he waits for the audience to calm down enough to be heard, then picks up a remote from the arm of his chair. 'Now, for those of you who are new to the show, what we do is simple. We find a haunted house, or a report of strange goings on, and we dispatch one of our teams. Of course, we're not completely heartless - we DO provide our teams with weapons with which to fight whatever they find there. Let's have a look at the second half of our 'what happens next' round from last week, shall we?'

He hits a button on the remote, and the screen behind him flares into life, showing a video clip of a man kicking a robed, axe-wielding figure to the ground and levelling a sawn-off shotgun for a headshot. The video freezes, and Jack produces a number of cards from beside the chair.
‘OK, so, Mrs Dawson from LA guesses ‘Jake tries to shoot, but runs out of ammo and gets cut off at the knees’. Sorry, Mrs Dawson, but you won’t be winning our prize today.’ He laughs at the crowds’ sympathetic ‘awww’.
‘Now, thirteen-year-old Paul Kenne guesses ‘Jake shoots and kills the cultist, but not in time to stop the ritual, and the demon gets him.’ Shall we take a look?’ He presses the play button again, and the video resumes. The character fires his shotgun, pulverising the cultist’s head and spattering blood onto the camera just as a red light begins to fill the room. Jake spins around, aiming his shotgun, but a giant fist emerges from the wall and hammers down, spraying gore over the room.
‘Congratulations, Paul! You’ve won the prize – the actual crucifix used by R.J. to put down the vampire lord in season two!’

This game takes the format of a TV show, where the players (you) are sent out to haunted locations in order to discover the cause of the haunting, and stop it. Watch out for the zombies!

bio: Sean L. Cole has always had a large fascination with explosisves. his first explosives were simple yet fun fireworks. after he found the anarchist cook book he tossed aside fire works and began making explosives from everyday household objects. his love of explosives led him to join a demo crew, but the controlled explositions grew old quickly and lost there excitement, soon after he saw an ad advertising for new recruits of the show TDI. this let him release the explosive desire inside with no control on how big and random he could make his bombs. he is stillfairly new to TDI since being with them for the previous season still leaves him quite unexperienced so most of the time he uses a gun he either uses a scope or just fans and sprays shots in the general directions of his enemies with the guns he uses.

Character name: R.J. Black
Skills: Expert pistol marksman, gunsmithing
Weapon of choice: MkVI .455 Webley break-top revolver, with an extended barrel and scope ‘Fenrisúlfr’. RJ prefers to use revolver pistol weapons, but is an accurate shot with most pistols.
Description: A tall, slender man with severe features and a completely bald head. He wears loose trousers and a tight long-sleeved black shirt, with a harness that holds his pistol in a shoulder holster, and also a combat knife. He keeps his spare bullets in half-moon clips in a pouch on the harness.
Bio: RJ is an experienced star of TDI, and has been with the show for several seasons. Before his joining the crew of TDI, RJ had been a gunsmith, but he became bored of a mundane life and closed his shop, looking for a more exciting job. He found it after moving to LA and seeing a late-night advert on TV calling for ‘Everyday people with some fighting experience’. He’s seen the show grow from an obscure show to a national favourite, and intends to keep performing until age or injury force him to retire. Most of his fighting skills have been learned ‘on location’ with TDI, an education that makes the school of hard knocks look like a child’s sandpit. His shooting style, however, is identical to the style he used to test-fire new guns – slow, single shots with high accuracy.

Height: 188cm
Weight: 82kg
Eyes: Green
Hair: Bald
Likes: Revolvers, classical music
Dislikes: Boredom, monotony

When aged 14 he became associated with a local gang and he was submerged into a world full of gang land killings, murder, rape, drugs and theft. After the arrest of the main ringleaders, the gang slowly began to disintigrate and coupled with the revenge killings of his close friends it wasn't long before graeme found himself alone at the age of 23, surviving financially through pickpocketing and drug trafficking. After being sent to prison on manslaughter charge (a mugging gone wrong) he was one day visited by one of the producers of TDI who offered him a choice - he could either stay in prison and be threatened with bullying, rape and muder or he could earn his freedom and a chance for financial rewards the likes of which he couldn't have dreamed of, the catch? He had to put his life on the line for the entertainment of others... he chose the latter

OOC: I guess we may as well get started then ;)

-----------------------------------------

'So, ladies and gentlemen! For those of you watching last show, Durn's team finally managed to locate the altar of Okenene, The Blind Vile Maw in the Underworld, deep under a sleepy San Francisco suburb, and prevent Okenene's cultists from raising her from her slumber and consuming the Western Hemisphere. Give the lads a round of applause!'
Jack gesticulates to the crowd as they cheer, then waits for them to calm again.
'But tonight, we've got an extra-special surprise for you all. Hell, we've got a few surprises for you! As you'll remember, from the last season, most of RJ's team got itself killed while investigating a chapter of the Wolf Scion cult here in LA. Well, we've got him two replacements. Yes, only two - RJ's taking only half a team tonight, folks!'
He presses a button on his remote again, and the screen behind him blanks for a moment, then flickers again to show a tall figure wearing a hoodie and trousers liberally festooned with clips and ammunition belts.
'You all remember Sean Cole from last season, don't you? Our resident hothead, Sean's turn-ons include fire and vastly overpressured explosive devices! Sean will be joining RJ to provide fire support.'
The screen flickers again to reveal a short, scrawny, tattooed man wearing baggy clothes
'Now here's a shock for you, folks. You'll have seen our very own psycho gangland killer in action before on some of the warm-up jobs, but this is his first REAL mission - a gangster with no respect for authority paired with the veteran RJ! How will the two work together? I tell you, ladies and gentlemen - I'm on the edge of my seat with this one! Graeme's likes include drugs and violence, and his biggest dislike is authority figures. An accomplished pickpocket and lockpicker, he'll guarantee RJ entry through any locked door - provided he survives long enough!'

The screen suddenly cuts to a manor house, with extensive gardens. 'Ah, here it is - Dark Glass Manor. Rumour has it that it was once occupied by a gang of serial killers who used the impressive cave system to hide their victims while they brutally raped and tortured them. Our resident psychics have told us that whatever the truth is, there's a psychometric imprint on that house the height of the Empire State Building - for the non-technical out there, this means that something that happened there wants to happen again. RJ's job is to get in, and put whatever's in there to rest. But wait, what's this?'
The camera zooms in to reveal a trio of robed men carrying scythes walking through the grounds towards the house.
'Wolf Scion cultists? Here? Well, I guess it's a good thing - it'll give RJ the chance to get back at the organisation that killed most of his previous team and left the rest in intensive care! And of course, when the Wolf Scion's involved, it can only mean one thing - MORE BLOODSHED!'

The camera pans out to reveal a van pulling up at the gates of the manor.
'Ah, and here's our team now. RJ, are you reading me?'
'Reading you loud and clear, Mr Ripper' responds RJ as he climbs out of the van, closely followed by a strange hovering camera, supported in the air by a small propellor blade.

Graeme was chewing on a matchstick as he slid the door on the side of the van open, he stepped out into the moonlight, "god damn place gives me the freakin creeps" he muttered rather irritably. He cocked his P99 and roughly shoved it down the back of his jeans so as on the handle was protruding, ready for quick access. He reached into the back of the van and produced a black rucksack; unzipping it he retreived a small black pouch with velcro straps which he proceeded to secure to his left arm all the while muttering under his breath. Zipping the rucksack back up he tossed it back into the van and once more slid the door shut with force. He sniffed the air loudly before spitting the matchstick out, "Lets do this and go" he said coldly

RJ pauses, and surveys what little of the grounds he can see from by the gate. He shrugs, draws his revolver from it's shoulder holster, and quickly loads it with a payload of red-tipped bullets. Snapping the cylinders closed, he brings the gun up to aiming height and takes a closer look at the grounds through the scope mounted on top.
'It's going to be interesting' he says. 'The grounds look big and open. That says to me that there's no point using stealth - and it suggests some kind of ambush.'

Graeme was already beginning to grow impatient with RJ's observation, "so waddaya wanna do about it? Lemme go look n' case the place! Anything pops out BLAM I'm gonna pop its ****ing head off!"

RJ shrugs. 'If you desparately want to die, feel free to charge in. If you want to stay alive 'till the end of tonight's show, err on the side of caution. I'd recommend going in quietly and carefully - I don't fancy having to replace another team.'

"Hmph" Graeme retorted, "very well, after you" he proclaimed as he almost sarcastically bowed and moved his left arm so as to usher RJ in the direction of the main gates.

Sean sat (well actually stood)there silently listening to RJs and Graeme conversation, as it ended, with a very odd bow from Graeme (ended for him anyway's since he thought he might of cut off RJ). "you know i could probably blow that house up along with everything else, but that would also kill us so screw that idea.plus i doubt the house has gaslines in it.so that means i have to actually cant blow anything else up...Damn!"most of thiis was incoherent ramblings to himself and some was meant to be said to the others.he popped a clip in to the m4 assualt rifle, cocked it, and waited for RJ to lead.

OOC: A'right, job-hunting is over, sorry for the delay

RJ smiles coldly. 'Right then. Follow me, stay close and tight.'

Gripping his revolver, he turns back to the house, and steps through the gate, moving through the grounds quickly and quietly.

Sean followed Rj through the gate. he held the but of the rifle close to his right shoulder to allow quick access to aim and fire.he began wondering if he could make a small bomb out of something.since he just had to blow something up.

Graeme followed in his silent contempt for the others. As he walked through the gate it dawned on him just how imposing the building looking on the dark shadowy landscape, even at this distance the group was already encased in its shadow. The wind whispered around them, shadows moved in and out of the corners of their eyes. "god damit..." Graeme once more said to himself under his breath, "I think I left the light on in my trailer..."

RJ suddenly stopped, and motioned for the others to do likewise, then listened. A strange bubbling noise was becoming louder over the sound of the wind, and RJ had heard it before.

'Shit.'

A number of bloated figures staggered out from a wooded area, dripping wet and noxious. Their skin had the sheen of light scaling under the liquid that ran from their mouths, eyes, nostrils and ears and drenched their bodies, and as they walked they gurgled and regurgitated the fluid in gushing torrents. The Drowned Souls staggered towards the team, and suddenly one vomited a powerful stream of fluid directly at them.

Graeme instincivly dived to his left, rolling as he landed finding cover behind a decrepit tombstone. He grabbed the handle of his P99 and in one fluid motion brought it from out the back his jeans and into an aiming position with the muzzle resting near the top of the tombstone.
